    Interesting thought. I wonder if Rosario is an answer at 3rd. His speed is obviously not what it used to be in the OF, and he definitely has the arm for 3rd. When Sano becomes the 1B, Rosario comes to 3rd, Polanco is at 2B, and perhaps Lewis and Kiriloff are up at that point to take over in the OF and SS, respectively. Totally out the box, but the notion of unconventional moves sent me spiraling.

    I lov Cruz, and would love to see his bat in the middle of the line-up. However, I remain focuses on the line-up's ability to get on base, as well as it's heavy right-handedness.

    Interesting that it's a one year deal after all the hoopla made of mercenaries poisoning the well last year. I hope he plays great, but I'd have preferred a 2 year deal, or a more defensively sound Short Stop.

    It seems to me that LoMo is a clubhouse leader. He's got the fire and seems to be ready for anything. Especially as he continues to heat up, I think he continues to be a strong presence. My sense is he'll be the opening day 1B next year.

    I’m hoping a signing isn’t coming. I’d rather stick with for Romero and a Gonsalves than sign Cobb or Lynn or any of the other remaining FA’s. HOWEVER, I would love it if a trade for a legit #1 was in the works.

    Not worth its own thread, but Wetmore just tweeted that he has a secret surprise guest in the podcast tomorrow to talk Rays and Twins, Odorizzi, and Morrison, and more. There’s no way in heck he had an early scoop on a Cobb signing is there???

    Another aspect of that is that it was reported earlier that Odorizzi was trying to recruit Morrison and Cobb. If it worked for Morrison it may work for Cobb? Also, I wonder if Garver gets starts against LHP to help offset the lineups lefthandedness.

    I tweeted at Darvish today that I hope to see him in a TC cap on opening day. Hopefully that will be enough push him over the edge.

    We could offer him Brian Deunsing to own. That seemed to be the lynch pin on getting so many other deals done in the past, I don't see why it couldn't work now.

    Or he's enjoying feeling wanted. Which I understand. Especially after feeling like he blew the world series--I could understand him wanting to feel like the most desired person on the planet for a few months.
