  1. Mauer's last year was 2018. Moved on from Rosario AFTER the 2020 season. Thanks for playing. Try again.
  2. On the other hand we still haven't adequately replaced Eddie Rosario in LF.
  3. Not really an issue. Julien is not really a second baseman. Polanco plays second 4-5 days a week. Julien plays there 1-2 days, plays 1B one day, 3B one day and DH once in a while.
  4. Dozens of Twins facts react to off the cuff remark from pitcher by threatening to jump off bridges--pictures at 11.
  5. The last time Gallo had an OPB higher than Kepler's career average, he struck out 213 times.
  6. Now toss out all those who aren't right handed hitters who pound left handed pitching.
  7. Hit me up when that deal happens so I can watch for the flying cows & pigs.
  8. If you want to see lost, watch Larnach against an off-speed pitch.
  9. Yeah cuz there's SO many other guys in this organization that would perform SO much better in the DH role.......
  10. You seldom win a trade in which the best player in the trade ends up on a different team.
  11. The folks that run the local baseball club don't seem to like acknowledging anything about "heart" either. Emotion has little to do with it. It's more about doing things on the baseball field that can't be measured by the almighty metrics. Getting big hits in big situations, coming thru when the count is not in your favor. Having a willingness to sacrifice their body if it means a win for the team. Putting the success of the team above all else. Leadership on and off the field. Expects perfection of himself at every moment. If our guys play like that we whine because they might get hurt. Correa is only one guy. This team is ONE game under .500. I can only imagine where they'd be without Correa.
  12. Doesn't stop most of them from thinking they can do a better job than the management.
  13. EVERYBODY who has ever commented on this site seems to feel they have some insights on the problems. MOST would not be great hitting coaches.
  14. One has nothing to do with the other. Some team is going to give Ohtani $600 Million dollars. Is there a Twins implication for that? Maybe we could re-sign Aaron Hicks to a similar deal. He's a hitter that used to pitch.
  15. Bringing in Cruz would be a super move, just not as hitting coach (at this point in his coaching career). Let's be honest this team hasn't been the same since guys like Rosario, Cruz & Sano have been gone. No fire, no heart. Cruz' mere presence in the locker room would help with that.
  16. When you remember all the folks on here advocating to sign Omar Narvaez, Vasquex looks like a genius move.
  17. All fine and dandy but if the team wants one of them in CF I'm willing to bet it ends up happening. Besides, I fairly certain most fans on this site would be highly upset if Kepler played were in a position which impeded his departure.
  18. Which might also allow the starters to (continue to) pitch a little deeper into games and take some pressure off the bullpen.
  19. Not quite sure where this "Kepler & Lewis refuse to play CF" noise is coming from. I've heard no such thing. I'm sure we might be able to guess that Lewis might be a bit gun shy about playing there since he got hurt there last year but I've not heard on thing about him "refusing" to play there. Same with Kepler. I've never heard anything about either one not being willing to do whatever they might be asked to do. If I'm missing something I'd love know what it is. Other than random fans talking S$@#!
  20. The pendulum between the two could easily swing as much in the Miranda's direction over the next year as it has in Steer's over the past year. Steer will also face a similar in house obstacle to what Miranda has faced in that four of the Reds top seven prospects (if you consider Elly De La Cruz to be graduated off the prospect list) have a 3B next to their names.
  21. I suppose that would at least get him under a half dozen.
