  1. With Clevinger and Kluber both out for substantial time this is now the time for the Twins to make a move to improve their bullpen. Now is the time to drive an extra nail or two into Clevelands coffin. Id love to see Kimbrel, but more realistically they probably should go through San Fran and get one or two of their guys to bolster this club. San Fran is in dire need of OF help.
  2. Dang how would Kimbrel in the bullpen look right now?
  3. im just not sure that Astrudillo is an everyday type of player. Im a little bit worried about pulling guys like Buxton and then having poor defense? I really like Astrudillo, but I also liked Matt LeCroy too. I just don't want them sitting guys like our OFers so as to get him at bats.
  4. It appears that Astrudillo is getting the start over Buxton?
  5. Definitely a North Star town.
  6. I would have liked to have seen the Twins grab Kimbrel. But at this point he is going to have to go to a team that won't really need him until August, September and October. Because I don't think he will pitch well for the first month or two as he has missed Spring Training and all of April. If he signed now, his S.T. will be May and June and then July will be his April. So he needs to go to a team that can hold it together without him until around the all Star break.
  7. I saw on MLB that San Fran is looking to shop their relievers. One or two of those guys would be decent.
  8. Swarzak was in a high leverage situation against the Angels last night.
  9. Mejia seems like he is all over the place?
  10. Danny Santana hit a triple today for the Rangers
  11. I wonder why he doesn't let the silverdome and Astro dome hang out with him for coffee. What does he think he is too good to hang out with other domes??? See even the MD wants to hang out with other open air stadiums. Racist. I wonder if he let's Mike Ditka hang out with him? Didn't he call it a roller dome one time?
  12. Personally I'd love to see Kimbrel in a Twins uniform. But I think if Perez and his newfound 97 mph fastball only had to pitch 1 inning at a time I feel that he may actually be pretty dominating coming out of the pen. So I think if he is less expensive to go get Keuchel to be in the rotation and that may defacto make the bullpen a little better at the same time?
  13. It sure seems like the Phillies are getting a lot of bleeder hits with all these shifts being played the last couple of days??
  14. We aren't going to make this go away with trades to the Yankees. It came to me in a dream last night, the injury gods started their focus on the Twins when we gave the Red Sox the Holy Grail, David Ortiz, at that point the Red Sox instantly became immune to these Yankee soothsayers, ever since the Babe Ruth trade these Yankees were able to tell the future of the Red Sox based on their stupidity. Once they received the Holy Grail from us for nothing, they were no longer able to do this and it made them very mad, that is why they are focusing on the Twins and sending them their plight. The twins sensed this and even tried to send the Red Sox the anti-christ to their new found Holy Grail in Doug Mientkiewicz, but the future had already been put into motion and nothing could stop what was to come in bean town. The Twins will never please these God's of injury plight by trading the likes of Aaron Hicks to the Yankees, that's not biblical enough. To avert these God's focus the Twins are going to have to trade something to the Red Sox that will once again send bean town into a tailspin. Someone who is Deemed to be really good, but in reality becomes their Achilles heel. Our most perfect opportunity last year would have been sending Brian Dozier to the Red Sox. That's a guy that everyone everywhere feels that needs to play everyday, but now in Washington is hitting .091. it's that kind of catastrophic trade let down that these guys need in order to avert their magic on the Twins. I have no idea who the Twins should send to bean town this year that could break this spell and save the likes of our tourtuga. Maybe Odorizzi?? Is he maybe deemed good enough that they have to start him all of the time, but in the end will let the Bosox down Everytime they face the Yankees?? I'm not sure, but that is what my dreams told me. At least it was the dream in-between the one where I was supposed to make french toast this morning and the other one that told me to take up snowboarding so I could hang out with the swedish bikini team? IDK, it made sense though?
  15. I thought Rogers pitched really well, that was one of those innings where one of the Twins pitchers of the past would have cracked and gave something up; two weak dribblers around a walk and next thing you know we give up a 2 rund double, but no, Rogers kept tough and got them out of the inning. It was nice to see. Also, on Rosario and the Twins. It feels like up to this point so far that the Twins don't have to count on 2 or 3 dudes to make everything happen like in the past. It always seemed like a guy like Rosario would go into a little slump and then the Twins would drop 4 - 5 in a row. Now it just seems like they have someone else that will just step up and make **** happen. Seems like the proverbial team effort. I feel good watching this.
  16. It seems to me that the best of the best make adjustments not only during a season but over a career. Some of those greats even changed the type of hitter they were so as to take advantage of what pitchers were giving them and to adjust for changes that happened to themselves. I just don't know how long Dozier can rely on being a pull power hitter when everyone knows that's what he does. He might have to make a change or he will find himself on the outside looking in. He may be able to re-invent himself if he makes the decision to do so. I watched one of his at bats the other night and the pitcher was obviously throwing him outside and he looked as though he was trying to pull the ball.
  17. I was watching Lance Lynn pitch tonight against the Angles and he looks pretty sharp tonight.
  18. Not sure why they took Pineda out. He was cruising.
  19. Seems like so far that the guys they signed this year don't seem bitter like a couple of the guys last year did, they seem like positive influences inside the clubhouse. Hopefully that holds up as the young core from this team needs those kind of guys to follow.
  20. Duensing just became available I believe.
  21. He could be that type of guy that doesn't make excuses?? I know that comes more from the old guard, but that could just be the way he is.
  22. Gotta figure out a way on to the club somehow?
  23. To add guys like Harper and Morin the Twins need to add them to the 40 man. Who do they remove from the 40 man in order to add both of them? Oops, I just saw they traded Reed away, so that's one spot, who would be best to dump to add the other? Geez Gulimet has a nice K rate in the spring. I haven't been real confident in Hildendinger but he's got a 1.04 Whip during the spring, so hopefully he has figured out how to do well
