  1. Bottom line: They finally found a team whose bullpen is worse than the Twins' "hitters."
  2. Couldn't agree more! He's stifling his elite talent in an attempt to be just like everyone else on the team.
  3. It's like putting out a lineup in which almost every player has "Pitcher Hitting Card #1."
  4. Either this interview was done before the season started, or she has not been watching very closely!
  5. You really could apply that description to the Twins. To beat a horse I've beaten before: Not only are the Twins a loser, but they are a boring loser! Losing by strikeouts, errors, and station-to-station boreball is beyond losing to this (becoming former) fan!
  6. I'm sure glad that Paddack is back healthy. He fits right in with the rest of this team.
  7. Can't wait until he's Margone!
  8. The Twins' hitters are acting like it's batting practice: swing at everything and make soft contact to work on your timing. The Twins' pitchers are acting like it's batting practice. Groove it down the middle and let them hit it.
  9. Four outs on 9 pitches. Really making him work.
  10. True, but one could say the same about most of the lineup. They are overmatched against major-league opposition. The present squad, performing at its present pace, will be lucky to win one of three per series, which adds up to 54-108 over the season. I suspect they'll do a bit better than that, but if winning with an unwatchable team (strikeouts, no speed, poor defense, etc.) is marginally interesting, losing with an unwatchable team is torture. I have watched much less this year, and the trend is downward.
  11. Yup. I guess we have to add checked swings to the list of injury-inducing plays we don't want the Twins to try. Even Buxton hasn't to my recollection gotten injured on a called strike,
  12. Doesn't seem like the Tigers without Cabrera in the lineup.
  13. Do they average in zero for exit velocity on all the strikeouts, Or do they pretend that they don't exist?
  14. I'd love to see some comparative data on pitching injuries. Have the Twins had more than other teams over the last few years? Is it because they are pushing their pitchers too hard in terms of pitch speed, usage, or in other ways? It seems like the club has as many pitchers on IL as on the active roster.
  15. Twins' offense has looked pathetic all spring. Not much change when the season started.
  16. No, this is a problem, Rocco will put in an incompetent right-handed veteran every time (until he runs out of bench).
  17. I think Julien means Arraez in French
  18. Lets hope he doesn't finish the season there...
  19. Must be the Twins. More than half of their outs are strikeouts.
  20. It would have fit the theme of the day if he had collided with Buxton and put both of them out for a month or two.
  21. No nice things for us...
  22. Nice that our lead-off hitter takes some pitches so that his teammates can see the pitcher. Two pitches --- two outs.
  23. And some days we won't even have a lead.
