  1. I like this. Sign Correa long term. I like it.
  2. Thanks Theo for a really nice article. It was a well-deserved tribute to Soto and I'm sure he appreciates this article.
  3. May want to keep Elloit Soto in mind when his playing career is over. Sounds like he could be a good teacher and mentor for the younger players.
  4. Thanks for this food report. I will get the marsala to go with my nachos, cheese and jalapeños and my Killebrew root beer when I come from North Carolina to Minneapolis for the World Series this fall. Those of you who live close enough to Minneapolis to drive to games, need to go to as many games as possible this year, because, as a 65 year Twins/Senators fan, I can tell you this is turning into a very special baseball season to be a Twins fan.
  5. Since Lewis can't be in your lineup, maybe the OF who is hitting .344 could find a place in it.
  6. I apologize for the above post. I was upset and I really do care about what this does to the team Royce gave a remarkably mature response to this injury in an interview. While I know we are all disappointed for Royce, it is appropriate to discuss the effects on the Twins, now and in the future.
  7. I agree with this statement. Gray and Ryan would have made a difference. Plus Maeda and Ober and Smeltzer, any of them, if they were healthy, would have been better selections for the Twins SP for 2 of these games. Unfortunately they were not available. I also feel Archer is coming around to becoming a good starting pitcher for the Twins. I hope we have all of the above named pitchers available for the playoffs and I look forward to playing the evil empire again this fall.
  8. Right now I don't give a damn about what this does to the team. I just feel really bad for Royce.
  9. That was very interesting. Thanks Ted. I feel like Mark Twain when he wrote: "Figures often beguile me. There are lies, damned lies and statistics."
  10. Sano has failed to learn that the realtors' motto of "Location, location, location" also applies to batted balls, whether hard hit or softly hit, especially with exaggerated shifts being used by opposing teams against him. Of course, that is assuming contact with Sano's bat and the thrown pitch, which is an additional problem for Sano. There is no place on the Twins team for Sano this year.
  11. No thank you. While I believe in improvement in skills, I'm not willing to go down that road again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
  12. Now that Sanchez is no longer a member of the evil empire, I like the guy. Maybe the Twins can sign Aaron Judge, who I must admit, I like as a player and as a human being.
  13. Wow. The Twins depth was evident last night in an important bounce back win on the road against a red hot AL East team. Adversity can build character or send a group into a downward spiral. The Twins players who played last night deserve applause, a salute, a shout out, respect and cheers.
  14. I think Cody meant to type "younger" instead of "older".
  15. I agree with Max Kepler when he said, It is very sad. that we can't go to Canada together as a team. Alas, if only you could do something about that Max....
  16. Correction, the "team" does not go to Canada. The players who are vaccinated go to Canada. And as Forrest Gump said: "That's all I've got to say about that."
  17. While I understand your point, I cannot agree to trade Correa if the Twins are still in the lead in the AL Central, or even close to leading the AL Central , then the Twins cannot weaken the 2022 team, by trading Correa for players to help in the future seasons, but not in 2022.
  18. Thank you for an excellent summary of a crazy week, during which the Twinkies kept grinding out victories.(mostly).
