  1. no offense taken! It was an innocent question on your part. Have a great day!
  2. Fair. I thought you were asking how it became about charter at all. I am not touching the race thing in this thread...
  3. Fifty fifty was really short hand for the luck part.... But one run games are more about luck then we think, iirc a few articles correctly, bit it is possible I am not. I was also talking about how "even out" did Not mean the Twins will win more to even things out....
  4. I think if you have more specifics about what character is, and examples of what they do, the conversation might be different.... But, imo, character does have coding issues.... Sometimes
  5. Seth mentioned character multiple times, and in the title... And stressed it. That's how it became about character, and not just on the field stuff.
  6. The math says they will be about fifty fifty in close games going forward, not that they will win more than they should to, to even it all out...
  7. Gonna be hard to over pay, now that they've sold the 74th pick.
  8. I have no idea how to judge their character.... But on the field they look great
  9. One run losses or wins are largely luck. So, this is a fluke....I don't know what people wanted molitor to do differently here, other than tell Buxton to steal.
  10. I agree with all of that Chief. I still would prefer Buxton not swing there, but I agree that's a pitch he's got to hit well. He's sitting on it...
  11. Two things I don't understand.... Buxton not trying to steal when he's a pinch runner. Buxton swinging away with the bases loaded and the pitcher being unable to throw a strike.
  12. They sold a AAA player to the team they are chasing? Interesting. Kirriloff just keeps going!
  13. Of course it can be survived. That is not sufficient to make it a good trade.
  14. I feel bad for the other actors.....and behind the camera people....
  15. I suspect so, sure.....but as fans, do we care if they made money on this, if they don't spend it? Also, do we care that they gave up a potentially valuable minor league player, and pool money? If they end up with a payroll as large as this year's, next year, I'll be very surprised. And will then likely praise this trade.
  16. I'm confused. Isn't the value of that pick any player picked after 73? I'm not sure why people keep looking at the 74th pick specifically. The twins did a pick. The only way this works too help the team is if they spend the money next year.
  17. I'm not sure how you got this out of my post at all. But polite, very polite
  18. I don't think people realize how much money they have coming off the books. They would have to spend close to the most any team has ever spent to touch the new money.
  19. Some of these posts read.... meh, why bother drafting and then signing players, they never work out anyway.
  20. Does it matter, given everything else coming off the books? I can't see them spending sixty plus million in free agents in one year.
  21. How much more payroll can they use, once you take out Mauer, Dozier, Santana, Lynn, and others? That's over fifty million.... Are we expecting adding another six matters? That would be a lot of signings.
  22. I am not a fan who roots for efficiency. I want wins. I can't imagine they will be close to this budget next year, with Mauer, Dozier, Lynn, Santana all coming off the books. Probably others too. So, not sure how your calculation matters, unless they spend the money. Now, if this catcher turns out.... Good trade. But they lose a top pick, and the money that goes with it.
