  1. I think people need to look at Sano and his stats again.... The do clearly miss ESan. And Polanco. But they should be better than this.
  2. I agree with every word Chief wrote. And, none of that is hindsight. Those things were said here before the season started. Cut Hughes or move him to mop up Call up Wade, DFA Lamarre Mauer plays every day until Sano is healthy Call up Romero or Slegers or Gonsalves Promote Gordon to AAA The next time they need a RP, call up Jay.
  3. How would anyone here know a player isn't team oriented?
  4. Where is all this vaunted veteran leadership? This is why, imo, most stories about chemistry and leadership are post hoc explanations for hot streaks. Because they have even more experience than last year, and more leaders were brought in.
  5. I really thought Berrios was a number three this year for sure. But you can't have that ratio of good and bad starts. He'll get there, but I thought he was already there. Wade should be on this roster, starting until Buxton returns, probably in a corner.
  6. I like lost in space, but I really don't need Dr Smith. There are plenty of other good stories to tell, and it's all about her too much for me. Way too much for me.
  7. Wade should be starting in right field for the twins, with Kepler in center.
  8. Those teams have a lot more talent and room for error. When people look at this pitching staff, do they really think it is even average? Or close?
  9. But he's doing a great job with the pitching staff
  10. I'm not sure Hughes is good anymore. Call it a hunch.
  11. they seem reluctant to move on from belh starter to potential RP for some reason.
  12. Odds it is one time, and when Mejia is back, he goes back down? 80% for me (not what I'd do, but what I think the FO will do).
  13. I agree with this....like Carlos Gomez, for example...
  14. we keep planning to go, and end up doing something else. Not sure why, we both want to see it.
  15. Always been a supporter of automating the strike zone. The human element is the players, not the umpires.
  16. I still need to see Black Panther. Maybe this weekend, if I can find it.....I hear I should see that first. Oh, right, Twins. Go. Win. Etc.
  17. The Rays did not tank this year. They traded an old, overpaid player and got something in return. Projections had them with a similar record as the Twins, until the Rays lost two starting pitchers before the session started. They also added decent veterans. In no way were they tanking the year. As for Rodney... Results matter, just as process does.
  18. I'd argue it is a talent issue, and probably the manager also. I don't believe Puerto Rico had anything to do with this.
