    Like I said....it was more a question....but for all the love Eddie gets (former MIF, btw)....he barely outhit Polanco.

    Sure, I agree with that......but the question is what to do with Polanco and Kepler and Rosario......Also, do people really think a team with Rosario, Buxton, Kepler and Cave is going to go add a .900 OPS hitter? btw.....how many of those are FA or going to be traded, by the way? Rosario and Polanco, btw, were nearly identical in wrc+ this year....... Polanco would be league median as a corner OF as a hitter....not ideal, but not some kind of crime against humanity either. edit: needs more btw..... another edit: You don't think they are counting on Kiriloff being in MN in 2020? I do. Oh, and Rooker. And Lewis. Do people really think they are going to go get a legit corner OF with more than 1 year left on their deal?

    Other than being a better hitter than Kepler, and maybe Rosario......you don't see how they might be better that way?

    I too was wondering about this idea. I actually have more confidence in Polanco to hit than Rosario.....maybe some team LOVES Eddie more than Max?

    NVIDIA seems like it has really dropped a lot, but that might just be me looking at the wrong times. Basically, for times like this, you should have a list of 15 stocks you really like, and buy more when you want. I'm also going to start investigating marijuana stocks .....but I don't have any idea on those yet.

    You left off commit to the rebuild as a path.... By trading Gibson and Castro and, um, the other veteran on the roster

    Several big spenders didn't last year, so they could this year. They'll pay top dollar for the best players. Will the rest of the players settle, will the rest of the clubs try to go low? That's the league wide intrigue, imo.

    One one side, you have to find 1 run, and the other 5? That doesn't seem like a fair comparison.....People don't trust defensive stats, but they put more value on defense than offense. Seems odd to me.

    Probably not....but that's not the point. The question is how best to use those two players. Maybe trading one is the answer, maybe playing them both is the answer......I don't know. But if you think Gordon is destined for 2B, maybe you try Polanco at SS another year.

    I've thought about this more, and I'd also keep Polanco at SS. It isn't ideal, but none of the alternatives are. I'd look for a short term solution at 2B, unless a great option comes up, and I'd move Gordon to 2B at AAA. And, like Thrylos, I'd be aggressive with Arraez in AA.....if he lights it up, and Gordon isn't, I'd promote him to MN in the 2nd month or so.....

    Not to mention other 1B also had scoops.....that ability is in the defensive rankings, and there just isn't that much difference between 1B at the MLB level. These guys have been fielding grounders since they were 7 ......or 5.

    Not really.....they have both Buxton and Kepler, but they need a SS or 2B. So, the question is, which should they pursue? Also, if you think Gordon is really a 2B.....maybe you try Polanco 1 more year at SS. I don't know the right answer on this one, frankly. With Lewis and Gordon a year or two away...things are a bit muddy, unless you are really trying to win next year big time.

    I can't speak for anyone else....but my retirement plan money (a real, but not too large percent of my accounts) I play with saw a correction the last two weeks. Like, a real correction...... I sold a LOT of stock recently, because we just agreed to buy a house. Glad I did that before this mini correction (or whatever) started...... I think a ton of stocks I love are on sale right now, but I need all my cash for the house and the remodeling....

    Pineda hasn't pitched in a year, I hope no one is assuming he's there for sure next year..... If all you ever sign is bargain RPs to one year deals, you need to do that year after year...what are the odds you are going to pick right? Move some of these mediocre SPs to RP, and let them loose. Sign a legit RP that you believe in to a multi-year deal. Then sign a flyer. But stop looking for guys trying to re-establish their value.

    As for being saavy? Uh, not really.....that bullpen wasn't good, and part of it was mediocre veterans. I'm with Nick......"winning" by finding bargains isn't usually winning.....

    Maybe move some of the "meh" starters to RP.......like with Rodgers for example.....DeJong, Slegers, and others are not going to be difference makers at SP....

    Who are you arguing with? No one is saying give up on them. Other than a small number of people saying Sano can't play 3B.....those same people are saying he can DH or 1B.....but no one is saying give up. People are saying....have alternatives available. Nothing more or less.
