  1. Charles Mack..... FG has him listed at 2B, MN announced as a SS.....here is FG stuff: #123 Northeast prep bat with stiff, uppercut swing, gap power, good chance to stay on the dirt.
  2. I like the idea of taking riskier players at this point......
  3. here's one I didn't expect to read, given how much KLAW likes Lewis: Kyle 2:59 Would Royce Lewis have been your top position player in this draft? Keith Law 3:00 No.
  4. KLAW just posted this.....in chat: Cole Sands left his last start of the year with an injury, but the Twins just took him in the 5th round. That's a mild surprise to me - maybe the injury turned out to be nothing.
  5. Number 78 on FG: Has cleaned up his delivery since high school, regularly shows three above average pitches
  6. Also, at this point....they probably have close to an agreement in place......so I doubt he goes back to school.
  7. Fangraphs had him 110th.....here is the summary: Athletic enigma who has dealt with injury issues, which may have masked his skills.
  8. I don't know that it is "extremely likely he'll break down".....which is very different than an increase of some percent he gets injured....
  9. how do you know that last part is true? I just can't see how we know that at all.
  10. Well, Jorge was a temporary thing....but I forgot about him. It's not any kind of judgement by me at all, I'm just trying to figure out how they are going to work....
  11. I think that depends on how he starts out....but likely 3 years at least. Unless his bat is so awesome it can't be waited on....
  12. In their summary, FG said he had a chance to stay behind the plate. Better? Non zero chance is how scouts talk about a guy that has a chance, but isn't likely. They don't give an actual percentage because that's kind of silly.
  13. It was. I was saying if they keep to type, they are going to need to start making trades to have pitchers
  14. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/day-one-draft-recap/
  15. Gonna need pitchers too. Or be willing to trade highly valued prospects.
  16. No. It means he has a chance to stay at catcher, unlike some others. It's the opposite of what you just typed.
  17. Rooker, now these two. They appear to have a type.
  18. Why not take the player they like now? They don't pick for some time.....
  19. To what end? They can't save much money at this point.
  20. Number 77 on fangraphs.... Here is their summary.... Big catcher with non-zero chance to stay back there and above-average raw power
  21. Isn't that true of every pick? I'm not sure what your point is.
