  1. Relief pitcher risk is the answer I got when I asked. Great stuff, but risk he needed another pitch.
  2. My real answer to the pet question....I prefer other people have pets.
  3. Swihart hasn't hit for a few years, and they don't trust him to catch. I wouldn't kill them for the move, but it would be high risk.
  4. This is the weekend all the wineries in Oregon can be open, even if they don't normally have a tasting room. It is crowded, but worth it. We'll be out one, two, maybe three days.
  5. When would he ever be more on this roster? I'd rather he play about half the time, giving every OF a rest, or letting one of them DH occasionally. It's not like there is a good DH option? DH whichever of Kepler or Rosario you want to rest, and play Wade at a corner that day. I like that much more than Grossman.
  6. Dogs would be much more likely to post positive thoughts in game threads, just sayin....
  7. They should know by then who they aren't protecting in the off season. I doubt it is an issue.
  8. That's not how the real world works unless you believe we also know what we have in Buxton now....since his minor league numbers would indicate he'd hit by now.... It's not like FO and managers are always right, either.
  9. People are judging Garver's defense in less than a year of playing at this level..... Plus what they've heard about his defense in the minors. I suggest patience, mostly because he's their best bet for catching for a few years. He should be playing more, now.
  10. Someone should ask the MoY..... Because it makes no sense
  11. Of course, Sano can play defense, which Carter can't, at all. Sano is also much younger. Could he go that way? Sure. Will he? I don't think so.

  13. I just don't think we see Gordon w/o a Sano set back, or a trade of one of their current players....not until next year is my guess. I wish he was up when Sano went down, but didn't happen. Not with Polanco coming back in a month or two or whatever the timing is. Wade, imo, should have come up when Buxton was out, or even Cave. I don't really think of Granite as a "prospect", but he can play D and run, and he should be on someone's roster as a 4th/5th OF, imo. Between those three, they are set at 4th/5th OF for some time, I think. The handedness doesn't matter a ton to me, but I understand why others would disagree. I think Gonsalves is up at some point this year, when something happens to 2-3 SPs during the year. IF they are worried about Romero's innings, it might make sense to have Stephen come up, and to rest Romero for a few starts. Maybe, not sure. That might be Slegers' role, or Mejia (is he a prospect still, I think you are all forgetting him if he is)? I don't see anyone else that is likely to do much, though I'm sure I'm forgetting a RP, this year....
  14. I love how you got gold glove winner in there! If you had to predict, who are the SS and 2B next year in MN? I'm going Gordon at SS, and Polanco at 2B.
  15. I know we disagree, and won't change each others' minds on this. So I'll just say, good points, but you are wrong....
  16. Another good start. And the bats got timely hits. Winning is good.
  17. Of course, sliding hand first is how you hurt your hand.. ..I want my players never doing that.
  18. Agreed, but even you wondered why he started in AA this year. I am surprised they are not waiting for July, very encouraged, really.
  19. Berrios being really good again is the story here for me. They need it.
  20. It's a young man's game more and more. I hope the Twins embrace that. We don't have much data yet on this front office, but Wade and Gordon in AA.... Versus Romero up.
  21. Good move by the front office. I'm impressed, since so many here said no mid market team would do this, when some were clamoring for it. I wish Phil Hughes all the best. Seems like a good human being.
