  1. and cancelled....right? thought it's on the list to watch.
  2. Yes, there was definitely bad luck in some of their losses. Luck plays a much bigger role in sports than many like to acknowledge.
  3. Twins continue to be very lucky in these wins, with the other team unable to get hits with men on base. It's good when it happens though!
  4. Lots of comments here about players not playing small ball, or whatever you want to call it. that is today's game, and is why Escobar is doing what he's doing.
  5. Dozier has the track record, they really need him to step up.
  6. If only the twins could play the best teams in the AL more often, other than the Yankees. Though I'm sure I have that wrong in my head, and they aren't playing better against the good teams!
  7. I hope this trend continues! They need it.
  8. Why are they paid millions then? This is a super visible leadership position. Is it as important as the players? No. Is it trivial? I don't think so, and those that pay them must not either.
  9. Maddon disagrees, and says you still need to teach in the majors, especially as the league gets younger.
  10. Talent or no, his bullpen management is suspect. The team seems bad at fundamentals, and the major league staff he leads has failed at improving their two most important players. It isn't just about wins and losses....
  11. I think KC was thinking there will be a ton of sellers, and they wanted to get ahead of the market. And they must like the players, which goes without saying, but I said it just in case....
  12. I never would have hire someone with no managerial experience to this level. It has often showed. While it would be great to hope the minors finish all the teaching, they don't anymore. Other managers have said as much. So, yes, some of the blame for their issues with fundamentals does fall on his shoulders. I didn't like the hire then, and haven't really seen any reason to change my mind.
  13. Agreed, it's just a normal day, imo. Neither good nor bad, just a day.
  14. that's on the FO, and their filling the RP list with veterans w/o options.....something many people here suggested was a problem with their plan, and that yes, one year deals for RPs can be bad....
