    I have zero confidence they are willing to move on. It's very disappointing. DFA Kepler and Gallo. Call up any two OF from Larnach, Wallner, Kiersey, Celestino. Possibly Williams and move AK to the OF. Il Buxton until he can play the field. Call up another OF or Williams or Carmago, who can catch and DH. Keep all the young guys in the lineup all year.

    Would you expect teams to pay over performing players more than their contract? I'd consider retiring if I was him, but maybe he thinks he can come back next year?

    They literally have three backups or worse in the starting OF, and people don't think it's a roster issue.....I don't even know what to say.

    Some of those guys are clearly MLB players, I'd hope they slash well in AAA.

    Agreed. Gallo brought in, and Kepler kept for depth (mistake on mistake). It is an emotional reaction to last year having to play all the guys from AA basically last year. To me, that's the best example.

    There may be other things contributing, but the issue is the roster (and the FO that built it). Backups (or worse) playing every day (nearly): Kepler, Galllo, Taylor Backups getting regular time: Solano, Castro Superstars being less than a shadow of themselves (possibly not on the FO, but no idea what Rocco can do about it while they are not on the IL):: CC, Buxton Mistake, or just a massive slump? Vazquez Young "great hitter" not hitting: AK Given that the entire OF is made up of DFA candidates and backups, and CC and Buxton stink....I have no idea how many speeches Rocco can give....Perhaps he could lead better, he can certainly make better pinch hitting decisions. Perhaps a new hitting coach would help some....but really, it is the roster. This is 90% on the FO, and if anyone needs to make changes and possibly be fired, it is them. 100%.

    Meh. It was an emotional speech after a game. I think parsing the words doesn't tell us much, other than he wants change.

    He's ranked in the top 7-10....picking him at 5 is reasonable, given our ability to predict the future. They didn't do well going underslot for Lewis (Rooker and Enlow).

    Were the Dior comments before the first signing (as I 'm pretty sure we are talking about last year before the Dior comments)?

    We can only hope that his hint at changes coming comes true. In a big way, not nibbling at the edges. Even Seth is ready to DFA Gallo and Kepler!

    100% there were some that did not want him here for various reasons. I'll change "everyone" to "nearly everyone on this board." And I stand by that. People here say they are great leaders and having fun when they are winning, and that there are no leaders and they just aren't having fun when they are losing. I'd argue that the mood is an outcome, more than an input....but I could be wrong.

    Truth! Great trade chip, along with Gray. I'm interested in the SS from Arizona (who could be a SS or CF) who is one of their top prospects....

    Go back and look at what people said early last year about CC and Buxton, but sure, a few didn't....whatever.

    Weird how everyone praised their leadership and energy the first half of last year.....I think this is mostly not real. But, something is wrong for sure.

    AK is struggling too....so, um, that leaves Julien, Jeffers, and Lewis. That's it. Also, interestingly, three guys they developed, maybe they should use more of those types.
