  1. Who do I replace first? Gallo Kepler A third baseman (like, I replace whomever that is now) I consider replacing Taylor, but I just don't see how they pay the price to do so
  2. Last week two people told me Julien wasn't close to the Twins best hitter, and I'm still trying to figure out who is better.
  3. I didn't put comments in the tool....I like guys that I am fairly sure will make the majors and would like to love Prielipp, but at this point, no idea if he'll ever throw multiple innings in a year at this point. I'm still a Martin believer, against all evidence this year. Also, Severino just keeps hitting. Salas and Miller are the two here that are purely on potential..... Walllner? He looks like at worst a backup / DH OF. So he has to be higher for me.
  4. I's a college pitcher being in high A actually unusual at this point? I have no idea.
  5. Agreed. That said, I'd promote Lee and Severino. But no one seems to be getting promoted this year hardly.

  7. My favorite this year is during the draft, where CO had three guys in their room, all of whom are older than me.....
  8. He's got an OPS nearly 100 points higher than Kepler..... And this thread is about Buxton.
  9. I don't think Kepler can anymore, but that's not your point, and I agree....
  10. This is my preference....but I don't see them doing it.
  11. I believe I read they are interested in trading for Ohtani....which, um, sure?
  12. I literally asked what they should do about it....what should they do about it?
  13. Great news! Now let's move the AAA guys that will never be MLB players off that roster, and promote some guys from AA.....
  14. Julien has been one of the best hitters in the game, let alone on the Twins. And it isn't close at all. 13th best wrc+ in all of baseball of those with at least 100 at bats....and people are pining for Polanco to return?
  15. They knew this might happen with Prielipp......was always a risk. That's the only reason he was available where he was. I don't see this as a bad break, it was probably 40%+ likely when they took him. Still, a risk worth taking, imo
  16. Jeffers is probably exhausted after the 5th inning last night.
  17. How is Polanco number 1? There is zero evidence they'll find a way to play him and Julien together. Lewis by far is number 1. Their 3B are not good at hitting ..... Stewart and Thielbar are tied for 2nd for me. Polanco is 4th (if I thought they'd get him and Julien in the lineup, and keep AK there and keep Lewis there, he'd be second) Gordon.....I mean, is he any better than the utility guys they have? Maybe, I think so.....but they won't put Wallner in the OF, they aren't putting Gordon there, and if Polanco, Julien, Lewis are up, where do you even put Gordon (with Castro on the roster especially)?
  18. That last sentence is prescient for sure.
  19. Come on. Are we really going to keep complaining about the Gray trade? He's been what the Twins need......for more than 1 year in the bigs. It is a good, fair, trade. Or should the present just be punted for the future all the time? Seriously this line of thinking really confuses me. As for the picks, maybe they could take a look at the one dimensional guys and see a pattern in outcomes? Suggesting Rooker is "good" or whatever by mentioning he's an All Star ignores he's been awful since April. Simply awful. He's an All Star because every team has to have one. There is some stuff to like in these picks, and some stuff not to like. The Lewis/Greene/McKay picks? None of them have worked, and they were nearly the consensus top three that year, so not sure how to judge the FO on that one. The Cavacao pick? Good golly miss molly, how awful is that looking? It looked bad at the time.....now? Worse than bad. I don't know anyone cannot love the last two top picks, though. Sure helps to have a top five or so pick........
  20. Byron is not playing well. I think everyone knows that. They clearly aren't putting him in CF any time soon...... So, now what? Options: Sit him against rhp, and put Julien at DH (I don't see this team sitting any vets) IL stint until he can play the field (I don't see the team doing this either) Move him down in the order but keep playing him (the most likely on the list) Reach an injury settlement (no chance) Other ideas? I think they might move him down the order, but let's be real, they haven't done that yet. No idea why we think the FO and Rocco will make that change now.
  21. Correct. They will sign Nola and a backend guy......And promote some random player who will instantly be good.
  22. I'm guessing the Cards deal a pitcher or three.....and not much else (they have some on expiring deals). I can't see either the first or third baseman being dealt. But, stranger things have happened.
  23. but not trading the two hitters the Twins need....
