  1. I don't think it's a conspiracy, but I think it's absolutely real. A great example would be Assembly Hall in Indiana when Bob Knight was coaching there. Indiana got every call.
  2. As I think about it, I think Molitor should have ran out for a discussion with the home plate ump when Gee didn't get that call. Show people that you are paying attention and care about what is happening .
  3. I think so, too. However, last night it was egregious and slanted pretty much one way, against the Twins pitchers. At least two easy two-strike pitches over the plate called balls, extending at bats and innings. I don't know, man. I suppose the next game could be even worse and then it will look like we were complaining about nothing in this one.
  4. Yes. I don't think Falvey and Levine can appreciate the mental block these guys have against the Yankees. For a fan, it's infuriating. (To me, anyway) Also, a game ball to the home plate umpire last night, missing strike after strike when Berrios was pitching.
  5. I thought Buxton made a really weak throw, but then I remembered he is still having hand issues. Even if it was his glove hand that was injured, that could affect the catch and throw.
  6. My hot opinions: 1. Castro is terrible, as usual 2. Let's revisit the idea that Buxton has a great arm. That runner should have been thrown out, or at least a much closer play More to follow as I get caught up on the thread
  7. Colon has been very mediocre, actually. But yes, fun to see a new hero every game
  8. This is the problem with having the 40 year old Bartolo Colon. He always looks cooked. Nearly imposible for Molitor to have any idea when to swap this guy out for a fresh arm. Although maybe a four pitch walk is a sign. It's also hard for the coaches to engage him in the dugout. Who knows with this guy.
  9. It would be nice if that was a picture of Molitor giving his post game interview
  10. well, at least a Blue Jay fan caught it, someone goes home happy
  11. Because Buxton was the runner on first, and is not fast enough to steal second?
  12. Bunting Buxton to second. Letting Vargas bat. Oy vey.
  13. now we get to see if Buxton can put his speed into play
  14. rancheros! http://d3cizcpymoenau.cloudfront.net/images/21443/SFS_Huevos_Rancheros-12.jpg
  15. another curve ball that breaks right through the heart of the plate, called a ball
  16. I did a quick roster check--Blue Jays have plenty of LOOGIES so Kepler will probably face a lefty in late innings regardless. Just a matter if you want him in the game beyond that at bat.
  17. I would have put up four fingers to intentionally walk Morales after Hildy fell behind 3-0 ha ha, he came back and struck him out!
