  2. I LOVE his work! Also missing him on CCO…
  3. I count 39 on the 40 edit: now that I caught up… while counting I failed to notice Julien is already on the 40….
  4. It looks like there’s only 25 on the active roster
  5. Stuff your mouth full of peanut butter sandwich and ask you questions?
  6. Why don’t you like AMD’s processors?
  7. Kepler is currently on the Il not eligible to return until April 15. With a knee injury, it’s is TBD when he actually returns. in the way too small sample size that is this season, Taylor’s god-awful 29 wRC+ is better than Max Kepler’s 28. I’m not in a rush to get Kepler back. protect Miranda with who, exactly? Michael Taylor? You gotta fill out a lineup card.
  8. Or, compliment him on his sundress. Looking good is looking good!
  9. well, I’d say yes, they do care, every bit as much as the fans, or more. https://m.startribune.com/minnesota-twins-spring-training-rocco-baldelli-sonny-gray-kyle-garlick-world-baseball-classic/600253105/?clmob=y&c=n&clmob=y&c=n “Baldelli also repeated his exhortation from last week to the pitching staff: That it's up to each individual to do what's necessary to improve, but that the ultimate goal is a team one: Winning, first and foremost.” "That's the only reason I'm still playing this game. Winning is the only thing that matters," said Gray, 33. "Goosebumps even talking about it, because it's something I personally believe wholeheartedly. Whatever goals you may have stem from winning."
  10. Cite your stats please. How do you know Rocco’s record in 1 run games is bad, how do you know a good manager “always” has a winning record in 1 run games?
  11. I have loved hearing Perkins (especially) and Morneau on the stats explainers. A little over a year ago I wrote up a blog about John Madden’s impact on football and MLB’s need for a teacher, maybe Perkins is that guy. I absolutely love it, I love that the Twins are leading the way, and it’s making for a fun season (at least for me)
  12. I predict the Twins lose the opener but win the following two, taking the series go Twins!
  13. Happy Easter, Kosher and Joyous Passover, and Ramadan Mubarak! this is a holy month for those that celebrate. and baseball for all of us!
  14. Wallner in Right, Larnach in Left (or Vice versa) seems like a potential winner
  15. I thought this was fun. D2 college, but still, unreal for the same player in the same game hit for the cycle and throw a no hitter https://www.mlb.com/news/brady-ware-throws-no-hitter-hits-for-cycle-in-same-game?t=mlb-draft-coverage&partnerId=zh-20230408-875294-mlb-1-A&qid=1026&utm_id=zh-20230408-875294-mlb-1-A&bt_ee=3sdFwusWpu%2BE%2BfdiR53PxZIQRYJhXJfSijekK5Ok2YwXdveRU51Js5xdFtMzOzZy&bt_ts=1680963229259
  16. Agreed with Hosken, great first post! I think it’s a bit early in the season, but generally agree. I think C4 tends to take a while to warm up. He started slow last year too and (worked with Pop on his swing) carried the team for stretches ending the season with a 140 wRC+. I’m not worried at all. Injuries are starting to pile up again. Rocco’s managerial skill is getting tested. Hopefully just getting them out of the way early and not another snake-bitten season. lots of games to play yet, many of the ups and downs will even out.
  17. I wish Dick a speedy recovery!
  18. Sinclair bought FSN, the agreement was already in place. At one point, a legacy of the VS1 merger, the Pohlads owned a minority stake in FSN. The TV contract likely reflected that
  19. The Athletic article didn’t specify, but here’s a phrase that stands out; ”Diamond also has not paid the Diamondbacks, but that occurred just prior to the commencement of the bankruptcy, so the team instead is listed as a creditor on the Chapter 11 petition. Several teams noted in the motion that they reserved their rights to join in the motion if Diamond also fails to pay them in the future. These teams are the Diamondbacks, Detroit Tigers, Milwaukee Brewers, Tampa Rays and Texas Rangers.” so who didn’t get paid appears to be already past due invoices. The invoices have different due dates.
  20. New wrinkle, the MLB filed for emergency payment to the Twins and Guardians. Odd they didn’t file for the diamondbacks too https://theathletic.com/4385805/2023/04/05/mlb-diamond-sports-bankruptcy-twins-guardians/
  21. Scoring runs, mitigate giving up runs, and the pace, action, and excitement of the games. It’s April and it feels like the games matter. There’s urgency. tons of fun
  22. And subject of maybe the single greatest piece of writing ever scrawled upon a screen. https://www.twinkietown.com/2013/1/4/3833034/an-oral-history-of-nick-punto-sliding-headfirst-into-first-base GET MONEY!
