  1. If Clemens didn’t have value for the Twins, this wouldn’t be a discussion. What value would he have to anyone if he can’t beat out Outman for playing time?
  2. @RpR why do you disagree? do you disagree that 1996 comes before 1997? do you disagree about hitting assessments? do you feel that Clemens should not be available at any price? please elaborate
  3. The big difference between Castro and Clemens, is Castro hit above league average for 2.5 seasons before being traded, where Clemens has hit above league average for about 8 weeks. Clemens is older than Castro, so I highly doubt anyone believes that Clemens 8 weeks is sustainable but if the similar offer comes, pull the trigger! It won’t….
  4. Prielipp was really inefficient but that ball coming out of his hand is electric, super fun to watch. Agreed on Royce, the articles about quieting his movement… he looked really noisy to me too.
  5. It was super fun watching the Twins make a push at a comeback this afternoon. Too bad they came up short, but it was awesome they were in position to win at the end
  6. Generally I agree that the Twins should go young, but struggling in the bigs can be detrimental to development. in terms of playing position, Shelty was recently quoted to the effect of: there’s only one player who’s written in ink to a position and that’s Buxton, everyone else needs to be flexible. In my opinion, a player needs to earn that role, none of them have, save Buxton, I agree with Shelton.
  7. With a good May he is up to 78 wRC+ and is currently 3 for his last 20 while not able to throw it 70 ft and doesn’t move laterally well. When Culpepper comes up for SS maybe Keaschall gets a reset too, Gray/Clemens play 2B Royce plays 1B
  8. Sure does show the difference between AAA and The Show doesn’t it?
  9. One bad game… might be a bit quick to say his demotion didn’t work
  10. It’s on the mlb.com videos, confirmed, straight upper inside quadrant in the zone, perfect to pull and hammer down the line. just watch it go by
  11. I think giving Lee last Aug/Sept to show what he had at SS was good. Unfortunately what he showed was enough for me to know that he wasn’t a SS…. Yet there he played for 1/3 of 2026.
  12. Royce and Matt each got benched for a few days after struggling, then got demoted. Keaschall has been on the struggle bus, let’s see if the day off gets him a mini-reset or if he gets demoted too
  13. Glad to see Lewis hit the milestones to make his return to Minneapolis so quickly! Looking forward to Royce on the right side of the diamond
  14. The “news” is riddled with these stories, but if you compare to the population what’s the percentage compared to the population’s a whole? I bet pretty similar
  15. Keaschall has been getting pre-game reps at first. He will likely see some time there soon.
  16. I was torn between 1 and 2, I agree to an extent on leaving Keaschall at 2b for consistency. I thought Royce would be a better 2B than Keaschall because of Lewis’ better mobility and arm. Went with 1
  17. The discussion back then was “He’ll be a free agent just before he turns 32, how much longer do you want to keep him after that and at what price?” While I love watching Ryan pitch in a Twins uniform, his edgy demeanor and fiery personality and the Twins are an absolutely better team with him, than without… I’ve never seen him as an extension candidate. It shocks me just how awesome that trade worked out, to get such good pitching, prime years, all in arbitration salary. all good things come to an end, it’s ok. better to die with my boots on than rotting in a bed
  18. While I share your enthusiasm to move on from Zoll, this upcoming offseason has too much uncertainty, and the 2027 trade deadline even more. Indecision is the worst outcome.
  19. Paredes goes to the rotation. Gotta be Fundy or Lawyerson edit: ninja’d
  20. Agreed on Ober not being the piece, but why the hell would Wallner move the needle? Prospects are the currency of trades. Gabby might be a bit much, but likely along those lines. If it feels like a bit much, it’s probably pretty close.
  21. Excellent framework @Cody Schoenmann, I very much enjoyed your write up. i think this makes a ton of sense, especially since Ryan is likely traded at the deadline. Critical here is an assumption that the Twins coaching staff and catchers can get a little extra somethin’-somethin’ out of him. A little more life on a breaking pitch, call a game that fits his skills better, etc.
  22. My observation is he catches what he’s supposed to, good jump, route, speed… but his arm sucks and runners advance on him in Right. I’ll take that over a statue with a cannon.
