  1. Prielipp’s ERA in AAA last year was 5.1. It never gets immediately better jumping to the bigs. it probably wouldn’t be 60 innings from a single scrap heap reliever. The “good relievers”, Sands, Rogers, they’re getting 60 innings each. Every inning that the rotation doesn’t pitch that it is currently planned for is being pitched by waiver fodder. Think Genesis Cabrera. The current bullpen has 3 minor league signings who are pretty much locks. Every inning the rotation pitches is an inning that the 14th to 16th reliever in the pecking order doesn’t.
  2. Vs 90 innings of Prielipp’s 5.5 ERA and 60 innings of scrap heap reliever’s 12 era? If Ober is healthy enough, he’s the second or third starter on this team. If hes not, things are pretty bleak. It would be reasonable to expect 160-180 innings of 3.5 ERA if he’s healthy, but last year he wasn’t and they still got 146 innings of 5.1 era. I think somewhere between those two is pretty reasonable. Prielipp’s most innings in a season are a good reliever’s workload, 80-100 innings fewer than what you can expect from a reasonably healthy Ober. Agreed with the injury concerns for Ober, but I also agree with the injury concerns for Prielipp. Managing his work isn’t because he’s 100% all systems go.
  3. They signed 3 minor league free agents who almost locks to make the opening day roster. This team is a worse team than the one that won 70 games last year and ended 4th in the central.
  4. Agreed! And with a looming contentious labor dispute, next offseason could see trades and free agency very soft. time is not on Zoll’s side
  5. Prielipp has pitched a total of 128 professional innings all as a starter since 2023, 83 of them were in 2025. Ober pitched 146 in 2025 injured.
  6. Correa was great! Bader was also very good! I’d kill for 5 more Harrison Bader signings as this team does not have a SS or a bullpen. Talk about bias clouding judgement, have you looked in the mirror? 2022-2025
  7. Correa was the second best position player on the team and exactly why you buy Wagyu. He was awesome and absolutely worked out
  8. So, don’t try because you might fail? they did not buy fresh Wagyu beef they did not buy a Wagyu cow they didn’t even buy a Wagyu calf they bought the gristly ground leftover bits from a past its prime bull
  9. That is exactly the point. Ground beef, bun, sauce is not detailed enough to make a comparison. Using that comparison, one would never know that Meisters is better than McDonalds. Fresh Wagyu beef, bakery bun, chef recipe aioli compared to frozen grade B ground beef, wonder bread bun, generic catsup. It’s the quality of the ingredients. You can’t make a silk purse from a sow’s ear.
  10. Ambiance is fine and dandy, but is the food good? if the food isn’t good, I don’t really care about the color of the napkins
  11. absolutely agreed His 133 wRC+ 2023-2025 is highest on the team. His 114 last year was 3rd on the team and Bader was number 2.
  12. There’s 650 innings, add Mathews as 6th starter for injuries at 75(?). That leaves roughly 700 innings from the bullpen.
  13. Littell might not be significantly better rate stat wise over Bradley/Abel but the 50 more innings he would probably pitch will be a hell of a lot better than the scrap heap Genesis Cabrera type relief pitchers that would fill that void. The best relievers on this roster are pitching 60 innings no matter what, the extras go to the scrap heap.
  14. Fair, but need to calculate the bullpen into the equation. Lopez over replacement would have taken 50 to 75 innings away from a bottom 10 bullpen in baseball. 1 good reliever over 60 innings will put up 2 WAR, an average .7, a bad one -.5. Likely 2.5 to 3 WAR.
  15. Really bad return on that trade but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  16. Yup exceptionally bad bullpen. While I realize Adams is sort of a converted “bulk pitcher” the reality is if this is the opening day bullpen, this team isn’t trying to develop high leverage arms and rebuild a good bullpen. This would be a punt on 2026
  17. Yup, towards the end of the season, they closed all but 2 of the value stands, so if you wanted a dollar dog, you waited and waited.
  18. I mean sure, it’s Skynet, but it’s cheap extinction of the human race.
