  1. What can we do to turn the baseball god’s ire away from Luke Keaschall?
  2. you mean it’s not Jose Miranda or Ed Julien? I’m shocked it’s Buck
  3. While I agree that discussing a non-answer to that question on October 1 (or pretty much any time) is rather foolish, still that word “expectation that Ryan and Lopez on the roster” sticks in my craw. Falvey is the decision maker in trade evaluation. “I do not expect my trade demands to be met” vs “I expect a payroll budget high enough to restock a competitive team so it makes sense to keep them”. None of those are reasonable answers either…. I’m just rambling and not sure why I’m posting this, but I’m frustrated! thank you for listening, I feel better
  4. I visited my doctor last week, told her all my symptoms, how bummed I was about the Twins, how much I hate the Pohlads, Falvey, etc… so she gave me the pills. i didn’t know they were anti-depresserants but I’m so glad they worked!
  5. They lost Carlos Correa and Wili Castro. They had Martin all season and last year too, and they had Clemens since May. How is this lineup getting significantly better adding one first baseman essentially Smooth, after losing Castro and Correa? Below, the two year period ‘24, ‘25
  6. The 2026 team if they rebuild a quality bullpen will be as good as or better than 2024 and 10 games or more better than 2025?
  7. Agreed, either he was going to be fired with the GM or by the GM but either way, he was going to be fired. it was Falvey’s job saved one more year by the “Pohlad Pivot”
  8. The Twins were an advanced team, scouting and documenting well ahead of their peers. Point in time, just like the dinosaurs, they found their competitive advantage, capitalized on it, then were their own demise by failing to adapt to a different climate. the key is “were”. Historic. Dinosaurs were apex until they weren’t. The Twins were on the brink of extinction and modernized, but are again on the brink of extinction and need to adapt again. thus, the Lean ideology vs Six Sigma. Continuous improvement, incremental gains over time to adapt seemly vs the kaizen event.
  9. Dougie Baseball would be the worst possible MLB manager in modern baseball in the last 30 years by a wide margin.
  10. It was reported in June. We don’t know when the contract was signed, may have been the offseason.
  11. Good luck to Rocco in his future endeavors. He’s reputedly a good person, and I thought he was mostly a good but not great manager. however, it was time. There was no coming back from this circus of a season.
  12. I remember the early 80s and the mid 90s to 2001. dark days
  13. I left my post ambiguous on purpose. It could be optimistic that the Twins record in 2026 will be better than 2025. They can’t win 75 this year. it could be sarcasm that I think you’re a Debbie Downer The choice is yours
  14. I very much prefer to watch aggressive base stealing than the plodding station to station.
  15. No, it just didn’t help very much, did it? In the risk vs reward judgement, high risk low reward, usually means it shouldn’t be a strategy to rely on. akin to “my retirement plan is winning the lottery”
