  1. I still worry about the substitution of lesser players early in the game. RP keep coming in, the left are becomes the right arm. I am not convinced that we are better off with Rocco's strategy.
  2. Sorry the Saints can't get playoff experience. But good season. Do any of the players get to Minneapolis? I do not like the 2 extra player limit that we not have.
  3. Bound to lose some so we can move on except for a few lessons - Lopez may be our ace, but he has games like this where he is still wobbly - do it now and not in the playoffs. This is the first time I have seen criticism of Lewis in the field. Was it just a bad day or a sign of the future? Pinch hitting for Julien early makes no sense. Not pinch hitting for Vasquez makes no sense. Winder had pitched two days earlier. It was too soon to go back to him.
  4. I know there is a hope for Buxton, but my concern is that we might disrupt the quality of the current lineup. If they put Buxton in the top half of the lineup I think it might be a mistake. I like Byron, but right now this team is really producting.
  5. Of course the key is that others have to get on base first and we have finally learned that hits and walks count. I love that Wallner made that adjustment and we are really looking good right now.
  6. Good for you Randy, but even with your four strikeouts six runs does not look good. Its just nice that Randy gets a nice paycheck and gets to play in the Twin Cities. Its good to have him on the Saints.
  7. Great game and the rookies are really leading the team. Nice game for Maeda, but I have to ask about So is it consistent or up and down? Earlier an article asked if the rookies could handle the post season - I think this rookies can handle anything.
  8. I have always wondered if Batting Practice couldn't be more constructive. Get some left handers to throw some of the pitches - let the batter develop an eye for the ball coming out the opposite side.
  9. The BP has been a question mark all year. What is the pecking order going into the playoffs. It can't just be a stubborn choice to do what we have always done. Second we need a different PH strategy so we do not take out the best bats by platoon PHs too early.
  10. I like our rookies and expect them to be the leaders in the playoffs.
  11. Maybe he is the next Rooker or Raley - he needs a true chance to play through the challenges. He is not going to be part of the Twins OF based on the names and numbers. Brent Rooker 28 2023 28 OAK AL 121 468 410 53 99 18 1 24 58 3 0 45 151 .241 .327 .466 .793 122 191 11 9 0 4 1 D79H Luke Raley 28 023 28 TBR AL 114 400 351 54 87 23 3 18 48 14 3 28 127 .248 .333 .484 .818 124 170 2 18 1 2 0 937DH/81
  12. I don't I have to see a player perform before I can rank them. I never like taking a prospect position for someone who is not playing. There is plenty of time for ranking once they get back on the field.
  13. I am hoping he turns the corner. It is a tough transition, but at this point Larnach looks like a better option.
  14. Floro has to go, but we also cannot count or Headrick. We have to hope for three new arms in the pen - Winder mopped up, but he is not one I would count on in playoffs. I wish Stevenson would get hot - he is very expendable at this point. And I want to apologize to Kepler fans, I thought he was washed up, but this second half is the Kepler we were expecting after his break out year. And not enough accolades can be showered on Lewis!~
  15. I am disappointed in Mercedes his stock is dropping like Balazovic and Headrick. I put Woods-Richardson in the stock is dropping category too. I will be interested in the next adjustment to the prospect list.
  16. I have no expectations. I need to see him ramp up his rehab before I have confidence in him.
  17. With Kiriloff back and Julien at 1B could Kiriloff replace Wallner as OF? Wallner is losing a lot of trust as the comments show. I would love to see him get hot as we finish the season.
  18. I am concerned about Jax. Does he have times to get right? And Wallner has disappeared. I agree with another comment - Larnach time. But most important Lopez is ready for the playoffs.
  19. I like Gordon and I think he poses no threat to the current roster now that Gallo was found to have a convenient injury. No move this year. Let spring training and the off season determine what happens.
  20. This is just a pleasant experience - watching a prospect play to his potential.
  21. Another nice win. I am worried about Wallner and I am a fan of his. He has to escape the K streak and start making contact. Maeda does not look like a playoff starter right now, but he takes time to settle in which makes me worry about him in the pen for the playoffs.
  22. Happy for Keuchel, but he is not a playoff pitcher. The Mets are not a good team. Glad we won, so happy to have Lewis and nice to see Stevenson getting a reward for a good season in St Paul. Question - Winder is now the Cole Sands. Let's get someone in the pen that we will use. Same with Floro.
  23. You are probably right, but Taylor is a better option than Castro and Gordon for me and Martin is unproven.
