    This is a hard report to comment on. At least we didn't lose during the all-star break.

    I have no expectations - but I hope he does well again. He seems like a good person and player and isn't the first with a sophomore slump.

    I look at the players in ST Paul and still cannot understand having Castillo on the MLB roster. Of course I would not have Margot or Farmer either. Camargo sits on the bench - Winkel is delivering in St Paul. Could Winkel pass Camargo?

    I just did not see the need for the pinch hitters. We are down to a lower level of lineup, but what they started with was the best they could offer so forget pinch hitting. Let them work our the left/right deliveries.

    My formula is simpler - score more runs than they do. Lopez is not giving me great confidence so I need the bats to be working! Brewers are like the Guardians - figuring out how to manufacture runs, take advantage of opportunities.

    I have a question about Winder. At one point he was the hot topic in the minors and looking like he was going to be a good addition at MLB. But his performance in MLB has been miserable. A 4.69 ERA over 103 innings (13.5 this year) and 1.360 whip. He is almost 28 now, what can we reasonably expect from him? He is a precaution for those of us hoping to see the young pitchers prosper. I am also concerned with the rating of Marco Raya. Two seasons at AA he has a 5.64 era and 1.482 whip despite his limited innings pitched. I am ready to see him moved down the rankings.

    This is reasonable, but far from ideal. The plantar fasciitis will bother Correa at the plate and when he runs the bases. It is not a cure for the ailment and might not be a positive for the team. Fasciitis often requires different shoes and supports. The best idea is to get rid of the spikes and put something else on his feet.

    The lower minor leagues are hard for me to comment on. I can only use these reports for future reference, but I do appreciate them.

    You have Raya and Soto rated to high for my taste. Let them prove something before we give them such a status. I would also move Zebby way up the list. Festa lost a lot of luster and would still be top ten, but down lower. I like Winokur, Cossetti, and Olivar over the young pitchers as well.

    I love it and I hope he has now become next man up. Varland, Zebby, Festa should be a very successful rotation for St Paul. And I hope we see him in Mpls this year.

    Always fun to speculate, but I am not ready for the cool-aid yet.

    Ryan Jeffers was the first quarter surprise. Margot and Santana have come back from terrible first quarters. The disappointments are Farmer and Vasquez and the inconsistency of Lopez (not an Ace yet). I would add Varland and Julien to the disappointment list too. Correa and Castro are proving that last year was not a fluke. lee and Lewis look to be leaders of the future if Lewis can figure out how to stay healthy. And Wallner is looking like the prize he was at the end of last season. Kepler is okay, as is Larnach. The moves are going to get harder as Lewis returns and if Correa is out for a while I would put Lee at SS over Castro. Ryan still is rolling and if we can keep Ober from facing KC he is doing very well. Paddock like Lopez is erratic but as a number five he is fine.

    I am happy for the break that allows our injured players to recover. But I lost interest in the All-Star game and all the other nonsense associated with it a long time ago. I'm not sure if I'm the only person on this site. Who feels this way, but a number of years ago the All-Star game started losing its luster as we work to get every player in. It feels like The kids game where every child needs an opportunity. I preferred the games back when. Ted Williams played the whole game and won a game that everybody was really involved in with the last minute home run. Now I just don't care. I would be just as happy if we just gave everybody a week off in the middle of the season. But of course this makes money for the league and I guess that's good.

    I am having a hard time understanding how Diego and Carmargo were the two call ups. Am I reading a minor league summaries wrong? Considering how we were at the end of the week I think maybe Julien should have been one of the call-ups and Keirsey would have given good center field defense.

    I am not into trade speculations, but the idea that a player like Kiriloff could do better elsewhere is sound. He has really let a lot of others move ahead of him and the projected value that he once had is no longer getting fans excited. It is too bad, but he just could not be on the field enough with all his injuries and the last ABs just did not look good.

    This team's ownership- leadership had the worst public relations I can remember. Even Calvin didn't come out as bad as this years Twins - TV, early announcement that they would not spend - just a number of factors that really set back the Twins fans. Then they did not get off to a good start and many were lost to the WNBA and other sports options or they just went out and enjoyed themselves elsewhere.

    We might have had better options than Castillo. We need to push the envelop. Only the best should be in the lineup even if it means dropping someone from the 40 man.

    With Lee and Richardson now in MLB - I am anxious to see how the prospect rankings change in the next listing. I see some falling and others like Keaschall and Olivar rising much higher. Harry seems to be performing very well and deserves a place on the list. Even with a good game I see Soto, Schobel, and Gonzales slipping a little.

    The development of prospects is one of the most enjoyable parts of following baseball over the years. When I was young and the Milwaukee braves were my team. I remember Bob Hazel coming up and absolutely lighting this league on fire hitting over 400 and leading the braves. Then he basically dropped out a baseball. I know he hung on a little while but never performed again. Baseball can be frustrating. Exciting and always unpredictable

    I just can't speculate. Maybe I value our prospects and players too much, but no way would I give up Lewis and if we need four Paddock sits. The real problem is the question of Lopez and what type of game our "Ace" gives us.
