    In a push for the playoffs the patience with Larnach and refusal to call up Walker makes no sense.

    Lowlight - Hoffman. I had hoped for so much more, but he lost Toronto faith - probably in the WS and did not regain it. If we consider the various moves - Hoffman/Varland - we lost. And we are not at a point where the revamped BP can carry us through with a depleted and exhausted combination of SP>

    The comments remind me of how I felt about the TD article on Zoll and Walker that I thought was complete BS. In Jenkins isn't ready now, he never will be. Leaving him in the minors is just foolish. The thought of Rodriguez coming up first is also ridiculous. On the other side of these stories is Ryan Gallagher. I did not have him on my top twenty list and he seems to be losing his status. Is he just worn out?

    What can be said? I am just reflecting on Gleeman and the Geek and how they talked about the fact that now we want the BP - instead of the SP. Guess what? That's not working either.

    It does not matter how we acquire pitchers - what matters is how we develop them and use them. Cleveland and Milwaukee are not draft gurus, but they seem to have a system that works.

    Since you wrote this (I presume before last night's loss) the Twins have been passed by the Guardians (how do they do that?) in division standings and in Wild Card both Blue Jays and Guardians have a lead on us and Blue Jays are tied with us. This is not a good time for Buxton, Larnach, Lewis to stop hitting. Nor is it time for MN pitching arms to get tired. Time for the team to get fired up. Tight race, but only because they keep expanding the wild card number.

    I will add to Saxophone Joe's comments. Last five games - Lewis 2/19, Trevor Larnach 1/16, Buxton 2/16, We need more than 6 bats in the lineup.

    My question is for next year - who is the next slugger one year signing? Or are we done with that? Jeffers and Bell out of the lineup will leave gigantic holes.

    I have been interested in Prielipp and how he would survive in MLB. I know all the expectations and projections were great but now the questions are Is he just worn out on a long season? Did we over rate him? Why do projections for next year have him in the rotation while questioning Matthews?

    At this point I think many of us have read enough about the power and bats in St Paul and consider it time for trades and call ups and DFAs to create some clarity and paths for the next round of prospects. It seems as if prospects are good currency so let's use them for what we really need.

    I would add some more questions Can Caratini actually replace Jeffers after this season? He has thrown out 7 of 20 base stealers Is Jackson now the number two catcher for next year or number one? Are we going to drop Bell like we did France, Santana and other 1b/DH signings in the past? Is the narrative for Larnach going to be trade him again? Does his poor second half change things? Is Buxton done in CF? Can he get his batting eye back? Does Ober have enough savvy to stay in the rotation next year? Can we really count on Lopez? How many games has he pitched since he signed his contract? Is Gomez real or a fluke? Why do I keep reading about Festa as though he and Abel are ready to be better SP than Matthews? What will the team do with Wallner, Fedko, Gonzales and our OF logjam? How much more leash does Roden have?

    I love his youth, speed, athleticism and energy. Yes I am a fan and I am not so analytic. A good ball player is a pleasure to watch. Now bring up Jenkins.

    Blah, blah, blah - Zoll covering his ass. Just the same old stuff - nothing new. Larnach had a great first half, not so good second. Martin is down. Roden does not have the talent of Jenkins. five of the six top players in the draft are up, but we are afraid to call up Jenkins? Give me a break. I would prefer if he just said - we don't want to call him up - he will get too expensive too quickly and not go through the other issues that are not worthy of reading.

    I cannot remember a team that is so hot and cold - so contradictory from series to series. Fun - yes, maddening? Absolutely.

    Time to move on - that's what smaller market teams do when they have young talent pushing for playing time. We can replace both of them. The long-term player we seem destined to lose and can't afford to is Jeffers. We have enough pitching depth at this time and enough DH/OF depth, but not catcher for next year and I am not looking forward to Caratini full time.

    Loved Zebby's performance and I really want him to rise in the rotation. Also loved the teams play as the lineup did what it had to do. So this comment should not diminish the storyline, but as a Braves' hater I am amazed at the quality pitchers they are putting up against us - yes sarcasm. The mighty Braves rotation has really sunk low with injuries.

    It is not a fact that promoting every prospect will make a difference or that they will succeed, but when you have the veterans not performing, I am willing and desire to try something else. There are numerous rookies who have come up and made a difference this year. Would you have them stay in AAA because you do not trust their minor league stats? Hear is an article about the top 20 rookies this year. The Twins are not on the list. Top 20 MLB Rookies For 2026 or check out the Baseball reference stats for all rookies - On position players we have Gonzales with 4 ABs in the top 100 - soon we will have Culpepper In pitching. We have Andrew Morris at 19, Rojas at 27. Parades 48 We could afford to have more. This is based on BR WAR, but that is as good as anything for a quick look.

    Not sure how you can jump to they didn't play so the loss is not their fault. This is not about one game - it is about the supposed play for the playoffs and they are not contributing.

    Lots of judgments on how Minor League stats don't mean anything. Why bother with minor leagues then? If someone is doing well and someone on the roster is not - try them out. See what we have. It is only by playing in the majors that we can judge how well they will do in the majors. We have expendable players and a losing record - I think its time to experiment even though the team has managed to score in both the last two games. (2 runs total).

    What does it take for the FO to have enough with Kriedler, Martin, Roden, Caratini? OPS+ - 82, 95, 75, 85 Make some changes. And let the team know that it is okay if they get their record above 500.

    It is now getting frustrating to see the Twins score 1 run two games in a row and no transactions.

    But the other team has to want him for a trade to happen. They have the same stats we do.
