Don't tease us - where is the Lawrence DFA? Please. Otherwise great win and Lee is doing terrific after so many wanted him gone in May.

Twins Daily Top Prospect Update: June 2026
mikelink45 replied to Matt Braun's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
I find myself agreeing with Twinstalker - this is not as impressive as past lists. Jenkins and Rodriguez have had too many injuries and just lose their luster - still in the rankings, but not as exciting as they were. The pitchers on the list don't make be excited to see them promoted and that is not good. We need pitching. I would have Hill much lower, too soon for Quick to be up this high, Soto has stagnated. And Raya is not on the list. I am higher on Diaw that the rankings. But overall this is not a group that makes me confident about the near future.- 9 replies

Mick Abel Has the Foundation of a Future Ace

Too early wait and see. -
I would trade Caratini in a market that is desperate for catchers and piece something together without minor leaguers and Jackson. Caratini is not the future of the team.

Another category would be DOES ANYONE WANT THEM. On that list would be Ober, Lawrence, Orze, Gray, Martin.

I love seeing the prospects come up but I temper my expectations by the fact that many of the things now being said well Culpeper and Houston for being said about Lee and Lewis

I think Culpepper is ready and we are ready to see him called up. I am hoping the Twins do a trade of Larnach - add Martin and bring up Gonzales. More changes needed. I wish I could see some pitchers that need to be called up.

I was surprised it was Arcia DFAd and not Grey. Maybe Gray goes for Culpepper. Nice win for the team

Too true! The team is just mediocre. The lineup lacks any real excitement. Jeffers going down really diminished the lineup. The rotation has been damaged by injury, but also by its own and ineptitude. I had hoped for a lot more from Morris and Adams. It looks like Parades is the best of the call-ups. The team needs a jolt. DFA for SWR seem like the message but they need to follow that up with more moves. Right now the lethargy is spreading among twin fans.

Does it matter? We need to raise the floor, establish players who fit their position - I am tired of the flexibility factor. Being able to play 3 - 5 positions at a mediocre level is hardly exciting.

I had to look up Royce's scouting report since commentators have given their own grades. Scouting grades: Hit: 55 | Power: 50 | Run: 70 | Arm: 55 | Field: 55 | Overall: 55 2021 - MLB.com I doubt if any of these scores went up. In fact the highest score was run and his multiple injuries have dropped that by a lot. Until he raises his average by a lot that hit tool is not above 50. I don't know if there are new scouting reports, but I think he is below average in a lot of these categories now. My only hope is that he matures, gets a decent average and power, adjusts to a less demanding defensive position at first base and actually helps the team. My biggest disappointment so far was the potential to make an impact in the ninth inning and just watching a third strike.

Love the comments - this seems like another article meant to generate response rather than being genuine. Keaschall is figuring things out while in MLB, unlike Wallner and Lewis. His defense can improve - look at Arraez - they are now saying he is a gold glove 2B. Work with him here. We have enough coaches in Minnesota (12).

4 Under-the-Radar Twins Trade Candidates
mikelink45 replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Good article for generating comments and distract us from the Twins actual record. No to trading Gomez. Questionable to trade Clemens. The players who might have value to other teams more than us include Larnach, Martin, Bell, Caratini, Lewis, Wallner, Ober, Rogers, Gray... In other words almost everyone. Some I would not list because who wants Lawrence besides us?- 31 replies

Fascinating to read the comments - one has Buxton in the HOF - more of them points out the all or nothing Ks and hit lack of clutch. Taj was our number 2 and one write says he understands why TB was wiling to trade him. There is a plea to bring up St Paul talent and another points out we have all their best pitchers. Is that true? Lewis is 3 - 11 with one double since coming up. Makes me suspicious of St Paul Stats. We have a cumulative position player 4.4 WAR on BR, Buxton is 2 and Jeffers is 1.8 That means a total of .6 WAR for the rest of the batters. Only Joe Ryan has an ERA under 4 among starters. Funderberk and Gomez are the only RP under 4 - Team is 93 in ERA + and 95 in OPS+
