    It is now getting frustrating to see the Twins score 1 run two games in a row and no transactions.

    I can't keep reading. Keaschall has been learning the OF quickly and I hate to tell the rest of the readers that missing catching the HR ball was not the difference in the game. Taj Bradley did not look good, Lewis looked pathetic on the strike out. If the ball goes over the fence is the blame with the OF or with the pitcher? There was a lot to be disappointed in (not the opening however) and the headline for this article really misses the essential fact that the Phillies just look a lot better as a team than the Twins do. Don't confuse the near 500 records.

    I thought Jackson has outperformed expectations and I was surprised to see him go. And yes, many of us wish Jenkins was now a Twins player.

    I agree with with DJL44 - way to optimistic. Except for Jenkins who should already be on the team. After telling us that catchers take longer to develop you have Lackey up in a year? Time for a reset.

    Too early - I am the wet towel over the heated optimism. Let a player get adjusted, let him get some experience and then rank him. I have no idea how good he will be. But right now prospect lists are a hot item and everyone rushes to be the one to project the next star.

    His batting is on an upsurge, but his fielding has never been a question and Wallner and Sabato do not carry gloves in their resumes.

    I am not a Rodriguez fan, but I am anxious to see WJ here.

    No one can say what the transition would be - we have seen it fail us too often. But if the national and local evaluations are of any value and his performance this month mean anything he needs to be given a shot at MLB. If AAA has no meaning then we need to figure out a new minor league system. Max Clark not starts for the Tigers he was one of the top six draftees. He was at 293 in AAA. If the press clippings are of any value and the prospect rankings mean anything we need to call Jenkins up.

    If I remember correctly, he doesn't do slumps so I guess he will maintain this pace. I feel like this is a companion piece to the Ryan article. Ryan great first half, bad second, Royce bad first half, great second half, And then there is Wallner who fails two seasons in a row in the first half a season, goes to AAA and goes crazy, but we won't bring him up this time.

    I need to take a different tact since this is an article designed to get the kind of responses that the commentors have posted. We complain about Ryan failing in the second half and he has. No debate there, but the question is - is there a remedy? Because he is so good the first 1/2 - 2/3rds. And he has pitched every year while Pablo Lopez is everyone's Ace despite the fact that injuries have kept him out of the rotation all this year and in 2025 he went out of the rotation on June 5. I am not arguing that Lopez is a bad pitcher, but the fact is, we have been able to count on Ryan more than Pablo. Fix the problem.

    Enough with Kriedler in CF - bring up Jenkins - have a real OF I agree with all the comments on Rogers and Adams 5.4 and 5.8 Eras should not be kept when there are options in the minors.

    I am sad every time I read about Jenkins and think about the Twins playing Roden instead of him. The time manipulation is foolish - get him up now. Thanks for a good summary.

    I grade the Varland and Duran trades as Fs - imagine where we would have been with them here for the full year. I also believe that acquiring Outman is an F even if Brock Stewart is injured.

    Taylor Rogers seems spent - I have no trust in him and I think he is now on the bottom of the BP hierarchy.

    It is time to look at the logjam of OF talent and use them or move them. Jenkins should be in MLB. He has done enough. Rodriguez needs to stay healthy and then he will be ready. With more behind him it is time for a Larnach, Martin, Roden trade and prospect time to shine or fail.

    Great essay and assessment. Play Culpepper. Give him a day off when he needs not because you planned one. And call up Walker - Roden has a career 196 in 184 ABs, and a 53 OPS+. Enough with trying to prove how great your trade was. Walker Jenkins is the only player in the top six of his draft class to not appear in MLB. Do it now. Larnach's slump is a worry too. And if Matthews has more issues I am not sure how they can hold the pitching together. Rojas would have to move into the rotation, but I question if he is good enough.

    Walker up - Rodriguez up! Please. Caratini, Martin, Roden - any of them down. Five of the top six in the draft are now playing in the majors - guess which one has not had a mlb experience? Hint WJ.

    Please go back to listing pitch and hitting stats under the score. The only question I have is - why do we still have Martin, Gray, Roden, Caratini in the lineup when we have Wallner, Mendez, and Walker in AAA?

    Love to see the fan excitement. Let's hope we regain 500 (what other year would that be such a good thing). Once again WPA leaves me cold - Ober, Lewis, Lee are the top three for me no matter what that worthless stat says. Give me the thumbs down, but give these three credit. And once again I question why the Royals ever go to their worthless BP. Lets the starters go as long as possible.
