  1. Garcia and Banda are an example of the BP frustration. It is easier to watch young arms struggle than to see older vets fail.
  2. Outman and Wallner - provide a collective 24 for 155 - .154BA and -1.5 WAR I would guess they are lucky our replacements are all on the IL and will have to play a few games when they come back before getting a promotion. We get to watch this duo for at least two more weeks. But maybe Wallner can have another of those games where we can say - he is showing signs of progress again.
  3. Kaelen CulpepperConnor Prielipp He is here in Twins rotation - not much to dislike.Walker Jenkins Too many injuries so far - but I am hoping for health and a quick promotionDasan Hill Not worried about size - I remember Tommy HallMarek Houston Looks like he is getting his bat to match his outstanding fielding. Can't wait for Houston at SS and Culpepper at 3BEmmanuel RodriguezKendry Rojas We have seen him in the majors and I think he needs to be given a longer leash - we have enough bad pitcher in the BP that he should fit in quickly. Andrew Morris He is doing it in the Pen and I expect he might take SWR place soon, Riley QuickKhadim Diaw I hope he can keep his bat going and stay at Catcher I want Diaw and Tait to be the pair in 27Eduardo Tait He needs to get his bat going. John Klein He is up and looks like he might be a good BP piece. Kyler Fedko He has matured at the plate and deserves a chanceGabriel Gonzalez Disappointed so far. I thought he was ready.Charlee SotoHendry MendezCJ CulpepperEduardo BeltreJames EllwangerSantiago Castellanos I tend to favor those closest to MLB.
  4. I love the question - should Rodriguez be called up right now with the report of him going on 7 day IL at the top. I think injuries are the constant threat for his call up.
  5. It really isn't much to say after a game like this but Garcia today is the same player that we've seen each of his turns and that's bad. Topa was supposed to be someone we could count on but I don't see it. As a matter of fact it's hard to find somebody in our bullpen they can give us a clean inning.
  6. Great article thanks for your helping us see what's going on
  7. 100 mph fastball and lots of time on IL, big swing, big misses. And I miss the days of Rickey Henderson, Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays who could do it all. I am hooked on the game so I keep watching even though I enjoy it much less.
  8. What makes it hard is that everybody is taught to strike out walk or hit a home run. We used to have teams or everybody hit 250 to 3:25 which meant that you could string some things together and oftentimes they may not hit home runs but doubles are fine, and still in bases are fine, and hit and run is fine. I watch MLB at night and I get really bored with just home run after home run. That's not a highlight that's one swing and a ball going out I must prefer to see action.
  9. I am not a fan - I do not think he will make it. I wish him luck - I would like to see all minor leaguers get a chance, but rosters are full and he is not pushing the major league club at all.
  10. Overall I agree. But Simeon has really looked bad and would look better in the bullpen as it has been stated on this site. Which means he could trade places with Morris and Morris could be number five or we could believe in the improvement in Matthews and he could be number five. When we or another somebody else has to be number five.
  11. I read all of the posts and agree with keeping Buxton. But having him lead us to success is still questionable if we don't put more players around him. Baseball's one of those strange games or one player doesn't make a difference the way it does and the NBA. Just look at Mike trout.
  12. What can they do with Lewis? He does not seem to have anything close to his initial swagger and without a personal believe he cannot climb out of this hole. A utility man seems to have his 3B position right now and he has earned it.
  13. I am disappointed that Walker Jenkins did not make the list - not that he should be based on performance - it's just that I keep hoping he will force his way to the Twins Roster.
  14. Wow - where do we go to climb out of our Twins Funk? Let's hope Mathews has it all together and I am glad he is back, but I thought it would be for SWR. I have no idea who the next pitchers are in the minors. Wallner just does not impress and I am glad you called out Lewis - he is my biggest disappointment. I could be disappointed in the BP, but I did not expect anything from them. We have a bullpen full of 7th - 8th options. No one is reliable to close. I leave for work on Wednesday and will be traveling in Canada for 15 days - refreshing - no trump, no Twins broadcasts. Please give me better news when I return. I will be checking it to TD for most of that time.
  15. You have a low bar in Lewis and Wallner is chasing his BA, but Keaschall is showing some life - got to keep someone.
  16. The Twins do lead the league in one area - players ready for a DFA - Start with Garcia, why did we even think about him? Banda and Outman - both can remember when they had a season for the Dodgers - unfortunately they are not having a season to remember in MN. Then we are close to Wallner who is vying for the lowest BA on the team, when we consider a dribbler as a highlight there is a problem. And Lewis is being replaced by a utility player - where is the future star hiding. And maybe not DFA, but has SWR forgotten something? Like how to pitch. There are some others who are not notable successes, but we have to have someone on the roster.
  17. Five starters hitting under 230 in the lineup with Lewis and Outman fighting for last place - this will not work. The calls for Outman to be replaced have been frequent, although Emma getting an injury hurts the momentum. Wallner has earned a replacement too - is Jenkins ready? But Lewis!!!!! Time for Culpepper to come up. Lee to move over. I remember the days when Lewis and Kiriloff were going to be the next superstars.
  18. I think it is time for a reset for him and I would not wait even if Abel is not ready. Give another arm a chance - maybe Zebby is ready again.
