    With only one more year of control than Jeffers, I don't see how this helps us. Tait and Jiminez are years away. If we are aquiring a catcher it needs to be someone with years of control who can legitimately hold down the starting catcher role until these kids are ready...

    I doubt they traded away half the team last year just to come back and spend big and go for it this year. My guess is, they trim some fat and salary off the roster and give a lot of our prospects their debuts. Ownership will use this year to see where we're at with our young guys and decide what to do next year.

    When almost all of our pitchers end up with more walks than strikeouts, it's hard to be excited about any of them. Winokur has potential but hope he can put it together this year. I'm more intrigued by Mendez. Seems like he could have a good bat, if he can play a decent first base he may have a clear shot at a roster spot. All he has to do is outplay Clemens at this point

    Maybe Fedko has a monster spring and wins the platoon job at first base. Then he just keeps on hitting and hitting for power, eventually becoming an above average everyday first baseman. Very wishful thinking I know lol.... Would make a lot more sense to make a trade for a legit first baseman, but I don't see much happening with this roster, other than maybe more salary dumps :(

    We have Sands and Topa. Possible relief arms could be Festa, Raya, Prelipp and Morris. I wasn't impressed with Ohl or Adams but I'm sure they'll get a shot. I doubt it but it would be nice to try to sign a few of Coloumbe, Theilbar, Taylor and Tyler Rodgers and then a group of minor league signings or reclamation projects. We need to build a pen from scratch which is going to take a lot of skill and a good amount of luck. Lately, the Twins haven't had much of either, but we'll see what happens...

    If these are our only type of options they might as well just roll with Fedko and Clemens. I'd love to see a trade for some legit first baseman, but I doubt it. Maybe a one year deal for someone like Josh Bell? If nothing else he could be trade bait at the deadline if he does well.... I wouldn't mind seeing if Larnach or Wallner can play first. Polanco is a free agent again, it'd be nice to see him back Manning first base for us;)

    It sure looks like we messed up by releasing Ronny Henriquez. Kid looks like a potential closer for MIA....even with several of our SP prospects converting to the pen such as Raya, Festa, Adams and Ohl, we still need at least three veteran pen arms. I don't have much faith that we'll try to hard to sign anyone of significance, but maybe we can get lucky with one or two guys like we did with Coloumbe this last year.

    I get that we're going into a rebuild and we should get as much value as we can from players like Jeffers who are probably gone in another year or two. That said, our catching depth is crap, and we are also going to be running out a lot of young pitchers who are going to need to develop St the major league level. We need a solid catcher who can handle a young and inexperienced pitching staff. A cheap vet on a one or two year deal would be great if we keep Jeffers. If we trade him, I don't think it will matter much. Jiminez? (The guy catcher we got for Paddack) and Tate are a few years away still, we need someone to get us by until they are ready.

    Pitching sure has been pretty lackluster. I wish some of our more prominent prospects were pitching the afl this year....

    What we need is a first baseman, catcher or maybe an outfielder. Of course pitching is always needed too ...

    Will be interesting to see which of our young pitchers end up in the Twins bullpen in '26. I'd guess Prelipp, Raya, Morris, Ohl and Adams. Festa could be a good relief weapon too.

    I say give him one more year as the everyday DH with occasional starts in RF. He's cheap as can be. See if he can hit 30 homers without striking out 200 times. If he breaks out, great. If not, add him to the list of corner OF we need to dump. Outman, Roden, Larnach, Keirsey. Guys like Jenkins, Rodriguez, Gonzalez, Fedko and Rosario are who we are going to rely on.

    If the Twins are going to spend anywhere it has to be a first baseman and in the bullpen. Everywhere else I assume will be filled from within the organization.

    I think Culpeper is going to be our long term SS which leaves Lee at 3rd or as a capable infield utility guy.

    I really think Culpeper is our SS of the future with Lee and Marek as utility back up IF types.

    You need a smart GM in order for your teams success to heavily rely on trades. I don't trust Falvey to make good trades. Aside from the Duran and maybe Bader trade at the deadline, I thought the overall return that we got was very underwhelming. Why on earth would we want Roden and Outman?!?

    Give it to him, he more than deserves it. He's playing everyday on a cheap team friendly contract on a crappy rebuilding team. Just about anyone else of his caliber would have jumped ship for a big market playoff team by now. Buck is the face of the franchise and if we ever do lose him, the fans lose their last reason to come to the ballpark at all.

    Hopefully Mendez can keep on raking. The Twins need athletic players that can HIT!

    He's our best bet at catcher until Tait and the kid we got for Paddack are ready in a few years. Extend Jeffers a few more years and sign a legit backup. Gasper should be nowhere near a major league field.

    2026 is a make or break year for Lewis. If he has another year like '25 or has another injury riddled season, it may be time to look at contingency plans for third base. If he can stay healthy all year and have a successful all star season like Buxton just had, it could speed up this rebuild a ton. One less position to fill.

    They need to sign or trade for a real legit first baseman. If not, Royce Lewis may be the long term answer, if his bat can wake up again. Maybe we get lucky and Fedko's 2025 breakout was for real and he can carry it over to the MLB?

    Another SS likely to be drafted by the Twins. Culpeper, Marek and now maybe another one this year. As long as one of these guys ends up a productive big league, I don't care what position they end up at.

    Buxton in center for sure. I like Martin in LF if he can hit for avg, get on base and steal some bags. Outman and Roden should be nothing more than minor league depth. I'm guessing Larnach will be traded, making us keep Wallner. I'll give him another year to see if he can produce, but not in RF. He's a DH or, if he can play a passable 1b, maybe he sticks there until a better option presents itself. Hopefully Jenkins, Rodriguez, Fedko or Gonzalez has a hot start to 26 and can claim an everyday OF gig.
