  1. The roster would be more balanced. Brooks would be the utility with no Gray on the roster. If they were serious about adding valdez then we certainly could've afforded Correa added to the current payroll. I disagree with the above posts as it is worth asking... we'd have a shot at competitiveness with a healthy Correa, even with a poor bullpen. It is an interesting question, and personally, I think the Correa trade was the worst one.
  2. "Of the three, Austin Martin may have the toughest road ahead." I struggle to see how you could possibly come to that conclusion after reviewing the path forward for those three players. Miranda may not even get another chance for the Twins in the majors. Of the three, Martin has the best chance to make the roster next year due to his versatility.
  3. I mean Clemens would have hit the game winner with better base running last night....
  4. Yeah, he's been playing poorly. Wouldn't shock be if he is the one who ends up going down for Lewis tomorrow/Tuesday.
  5. I'd still rather see Camargo get a chance than continue to throw Vazquez out there.
  6. I do not see the point of Vasquez on the roster anymore. Camargo or someone else deserves a chance at this point. Depth is mattering less and less with every loss, and Vasquez will not be part of the roster next year.
  7. The right answer is Julien BUT only if Rocco leaves Gasper on the bench like he should. If he plans to play everyone, which seems to be his MO, then just send Gasper down.
  8. Fair enough, I'd take Pham over Margot for left and pinch-hitting.
  9. Neither does Margot for the most part.
  10. "The Twins were able to add depth to their bullpen and make critical upgrades to their lineup, which has helped them remain competitive in the AL Central. With the money saved from not re-signing Gray and Maeda, the Twins have been better positioned to adapt to the challenges of the 2024 season." I stopped reading at the above point in the article. This implies they spent the money they saved from not signing Gray...clearly not the case. Also, the twins clearly would be better off if Gray was just inserted into their current rotation.
  11. Seems harsh considering the circumstances.
  12. Out of all the players to criticize this season, you choose Kepler? Now add in his good stretches and include his defense. He's not been an All-star but he's not the problem.
  13. I think we can back off Sands a bit. I believe this is the third day in a row that he either warmed up (multiple times three days ago, right ??) and now pitched in the game back-to-back days.... that's a lot to ask any pitcher, but particularly a middle-of-the-pen option.
  14. Yes, a release fee to the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization.....not the MN Twins.
  15. I'd take that bet. His stuff is awful with zero swing and miss in his game there is no upside.
  16. Keuchel release should open the door for a Funderburk MLB call up taking his place on the roster and 40 man. Then option one of Winder or Headrick for a bat until a 5th starter is needed.
  17. You just might see him before this inning ends.
  18. Correct, Pagan takes too much heat this year. His ERA and WHIP are both pretty decent....Moran's on the other hand are not good.
  19. Shatters? One bad week and we are back to the failure narrative, but I guess that is how it goes when you are living and dying by the HR.
  20. Kepler should be given the choice to be released or platoon in CF with Taylor while backing up RF occasionally if needed. Wallner might as well get the everyday spot in RF. Quite frankly that might be the jolt Kepler needs and Taylor is better suited for a platoon role anyways.
  21. My thoughts exactly....in the age of immediate updates(twitter), news like this is annoying.
  22. I normally skip Sherry’s articles….should’ve skipped this one. “Rodon still looking for home” smh…hopefully it will be edited soon.
  23. Hard no and I'd argue that his age makes the argument for not worrying jumping to 150 innings next year. He is a professional athlete with an offseason to prepare....IF he ends up having a healthy season next year just let him throw.
