    I have heard other people say that and I just don't buy it. Boras certainly doesn't extend the Twins any favors (nor should he). At the end of the day, business is business, and winning should be the priority. Even Boras has to recognize that.

    No way should the Twins be dealing a starter. The starting rotation is the only thing that has worked so far this year and is the reason they are in first place. No disrespect to Keuchel, but he has not had any sustained MLB success in three years. I'm fine with keeping him around for depth/injuries, but to replace Maeda??? ......seriously?

    If a team consistently goes over their allotment the agents will just automatically think they can force a team to go over the slot value for their clients. I think the Twins are smart by holding the line. Yeah, you may occasionally lose out on signing a later round high school player, but the vast majority of those players will never make the big leagues. That money is better spent elsewhere. And would that extra $700K even been enough to lure someone like #20 Larson from going to LSU? It's a lot, but it's not life altering money. He has the opportunity to play for one of the best collegiate programs in the country.

    I don't get this from the Angels standpoint. If they were a clear playoff team, then maybe they move all their chips to the middle, but as of right now they are seven back in the division lead and four for the wild card. Those are some expensive rentals. Maybe Moreno is gonna make another attempt to sell the team.
