  1. Yeah, his superior fielding skills are the last thing the Twins want.
  2. They better get a left fielder as quick and agile as Buxton because he will probably being running in for. or chasing, a lot balls that get by the shortstop and third baseman.
  3. Maybe the Twins and Saints will switch leagues?
  4. OK. let's see, we trade a shortstop, who was an excellent defender like Simmons, but batted .271 with 53 rbi of which 45 were not by a home run, for catch who has negative defense numbers, batted .204, with 54 rbi of which 31 were not by home run. Well at least we do not have to deal with Simmons 92 hit and .223 batting average as Sanchez, 78 hits and .204 are such an improvement and the fact he has double digit negative defense numbers, well who needs defense.
  5. Hey this way instead of watching fantastic infield plays , we get to watch Twins catchers chasing the ball all over behind the plate, BRILLIANT!
  6. Last year will look good after these trades.
  7. Trout in his rookie year had 5 hr and 30 strike-outs in 40 games; double that number of games to equal Larnach and you get 10 hr and 60 strike-outs. There is no analogy.
  8. Designated Hitter in the National League will do zip to improve the game and actually make it more boring.
  9. They both stunk last year, if the Twins see them for the future, the Twins will continue to stink like last year.
  10. This fits what is happening: Reusse: NFL can’t be ruined by analytics like MLB (msn.com) The NFL might never have had a more successful season than the one that started on Sept. 9, 2021, and ended last Sunday. The TV ratings were monstrous and the playoffs were so taut that a Super Bowl won on a touchdown with 85 seconds remaining wasn't in the top five for exciting games. As this was taking place, Major League Baseball was following a 2021 season that ended with its all-time worst ratings for the World Series with a lockout that has no end in sight....
  11. In a shortened season , basically similar to 2020, with the exception of fans, and stupid man on second extra inning rule, the Twins would not be benefitted. Detroit and Chicago, heads-up are equal or better than the Twins.
  12. Larnach is no better than Rooker and slower afoot.
  13. If he is good enough, he will make the majors, if not, he will not, end of story.
  14. I was fortunate enough to meet Lenny and shake his hand.
  15. During this lock-out can teams send, covertly, people to talk to possible players about joining when it ends?
  16. He had one more Big Show home run than Al Newman. Great write-up, thank you!?
  17. The shot does not stop you from testing positive or catching the virus, read the medical journals on line, so that has zero to do with Cousins affect on the Vikings or any one else. I have zero love for Cousin but the no vax paranoia is silly.
  18. So what? The majority were brought up because the coaches were eighty percent sure they belonged in the Big Show, not to see how good or bad they were.
  19. Yep just like those Twins rookies that were so dominant last year,
  20. He has 9 career home runs and stolen bases with a .225 batting average, he could be a 4th outfielder.
  21. Bringing up rookies whose show best years in the BIg Show, show, they are really just minor league, or maybe back-end Bull Pen pitchers during a time when Baseball ,due to greed and politics, is losing spectators and is dangerously close to becoming even more irrelevant on the sport scene, would be foolish. The owners see they are losing spectators and are NOT going to use the Twins as a extension of AAA baseball to see how many of their rookies wash-out ; they want a team that is on it s worst day .500 and can maybe crawl into a a tail-end play-off game. To not do so means they lose a lot more money, and to the Pohlads money is the bottom line, period.
  22. Twins need a better than average defense, not sub-average. Those negative numbers in his past Rtots shows he is less than average, reminds me of Polanco at short; the numbers are for the the ten games he played with Philly but his average for the year with both teams were negative and boy that is what the Twins need , a SS who sub-zero for runs., oh yes his career Rtot numbers are also negative and in the Majors -- almost close, -- is not good enough, while with his bat, he seems to be as good at striking out as Larnach is. If they would get him, maybe they can bring Shoemaker back also.-- Compared to Simmons Galvis is AAA, Simmons is ranked among the top 100 SS of all time.
