  1. And the Dolphins have bee SO successful for the past twenty years, haven't they but I am sure that crap-shoot rookie will put them in the Super Bowl, or probably he will be a pie-in-the-sky wonder boy and they will stay in the toilet bowl. To cut to the chase, Zimmer said they get paid to play and that is what they are going to do; that part of him I like.
  2. Back up that statement, with your proof. At that, if the Vikings end up like the Lions for the next 7 years they should have and unbeatable team because all those draft picks will magically put them into the super-bowl; the Lions have done so well with their losing record draft picks. Of course an empty stadium will mean that team will be in a different town by then.?
  3. Same people who think there are elves and gold at the end of a rainbow.?
  4. Even in a season where a win just improves the standing a hair, fans do not pay for tickets to watch a team get blown out by forty points, good for Zimmer.
  5. Last season during the early months, the starting pitcher could be pulled leading , tied, or down a few runs; then the Bull Pen pitchers came in and threw the game away. So some want to throw rookies to the wolves so that when the Bull Pen boys come in , how good they are is meaningless, brilliant.
  6. 2002 was the worst as in two of the games they not only lost but lost badly; after that they were just a joke in the play-offs.
  7. With the exception of a small blip in 2017 and a large blip in 2019 Twins attendance has been steadily dropping since 2010, watching the Twins become an embarrassment with rookie pitchers, boy , that will pack in the fans.
  8. All of them are still a crap shoot like Celestino, Larnach and Rooker. Spring training may shed some light of their future.
  9. That is why the bats of Celestino, Larnach and Rooker had so much to do with the Twins win-loss record. Two singles and a double are worth more than a home run with bases empty.
  10. Yeah, draft picks have done them so much good; if they cannot beat Chicago this time they are worse than has been insinuated all season by many writers. I saw on one sight Zimmer said he did not start Mond because he has not looked good all year including pre-season and he was not going let him play in a game like this; he let him in because he had to.
  11. Well -- from their first year to this year, when they have won 10 or more games; 14 times they allowed from, at worst 7th least to number 1 least points; 6 times they allowed from 10th to (holy-moly Rocky) 24th fewest points allowed. 2017 was most recent time they were 1st in defense for fewest points allowed.
  12. I finally did some searching for threads on the Vikings and see that once again penalties stopped the Vikings when it seemed they might get some traction; if Zimmer is back next year it will be same old, same old but the Vikings have a lot more problems than Zimmer or quarter-back. Way back in the sixties, Bud Grant once said -- Offense brings in fans, Defense wins games .
  13. Now I could not watch the game last night as the other half actually decided to watch TV so we watched the Yellowstone final and a repeat of 1883 preview. From the stats. I have seen, and I did have the computer on watching the ESPN site for for after the fact live stats, during the second half., and please do start on the , I hate Mannion , drivel that sounds silly, WHERE was the running game. Mannion was top Vikings rusher, and Zimmer thinks they should have run MORE, (I am guessing he did want any touch-downs at all.); did Zimmer have Mannion throwing any long passes before the game was out of hand? With the defense the Viking seem to have, they should have started the Taxi squad.
  14. Sounds like a good plan for losing with different people.
  15. Happy New Year and Merry Seventh Day of Christmas Brock but we of German decent prefer Unfruchtbar to dork.
  16. ;True but this is not the time or game to do it.
  17. Joe Webb: On December 28, 2010, Webb made his first career start, against the Philadelphia Eagles. Scoring one rushing touchdown and throwing for 195 yards, he was 17-of-26 with no interceptions. Initially projected to lose by two touchdowns, the Vikings pulled off an upset win, 24–14. The talking sports heads on TV are now showing concern that Cousins has started all the games so back-up quarterback is going in cold.
  18. Should stay in the Minors till they show they will not be embarrassed in the Majors.
  19. Just think if Mannion has his career game, Vikings win big; what will Zimmer do next week?
  20. I hope dearly you are wrong; last thing fans need is a Major League looking like AAA or worse AA team.
  21. Either major changes are made, or next year will look like this one, at best.
  22. Schools are NOT pro-level football, period; with what happened to Joe Webb against Green Bay, having to start without taking snap all season, hopefully taught Zimmer a lesson. Nothing can do more to destroy a players career than to be thrown to the wolves and made a fool of.
  23. And there have been six deaths in self-driving cars; there will be errors just as there are with men doing it. Better yet use a pitching machine that rolls dice as to what pitch it will throw, we don't need humans pitching they are too unreliable.
