I'll add ,,, about our bullpen is they have surrendered 18 runs in the 8th inning in 10 games ... We fixed nothing from last year with the bullpen to really strengthen it , The New faces is just a mirage

I disagree with this take ,,, The twins could do alot more to create interest in their team in drawing fans .. Educate the tots to a Harmon killebrew day , a rod carew day , Tony Oliva day , Puckett day , Blyleven day , a kaat day .... our hof honorees The kids would get the to know the legends on the history of twins players and the dads and grandfather's would love it too ...

We traded perry, the only pitcher in our system with an ace label attached to him... What I'm looking for is a college ace , bulldog , stud that might be on a major league roster in less than a year ...... Other clubs can find them , why can't the front offices top professionals find them ...

I would like to see more consecutive back to back hits ( singles and doubles ) for alittle more excitement to score some run ..... Twins have played 3 games , have scored 14 runs , Average of 4 1/2 per game ... Twins have 18 hits , 8 singles , only 1 double and 9 homers in 3 games .... 7 homers have been solos and 2 have had a runner or more ,,, 13 runs have scored on the homer , 1 by a hit ... Not getting on base enough , walks 9 ,, averaging 3 per game , Strikeouts 28 , averaging 9 per game.. Sano and kiriloff have played all 3 games and do not have a hit yet ... The production level has been down by all the solo homers the twins continue to hit, a solo homer is not a game changer ... clutch hitting is !!! It's regular season now so wins and losses count , our manager should realize every win counts even early on ..

I do not listen to pre or post game comments from baldelli ,,,, Can't stand the bs ... This was a mismanaged game on the manager and FO , If he said in his post game release that duffy was the man he wanted in the 9th he is definitely sleeping while standing up ... Acala or pagan ,, Duran pitched 2 innings yesterday and threw 22 pitches and only threw 16 innings last year in AAA , so rest him yes ,,, Pagan just getting into a twins uniform , they haven't seen him throw this year so he's not their option for the ninth ... Acala pitched 1 clean inning yesterday and threw 13 pitches ... In my opinion he would have been my choice with a 1 run lead to pitch but FO and Rocco want to rest their pitchers for the long season ... Just a bad choice ( mismanaged ) and Rocco and FO cost us the game , last year alot of fans were calling for a change in Rocco or they had lost faith in his ability to manage .. Keep watching fans because he is the same as last season and the season before , 2019 was a career year for the players and he did not have to manage until the playoffs ,, he'll continue to be out managed by the other teams better managers , he will continue to mismanage his team as well ... I have followed the twins for over 50 years and hardly miss a game , twins have had other managers that weren't good and lost games too by mis managing ... My point is there are not any injuries so we can't blame it on that ,,,

I've been gone for a month and trying to catch up on the trades .... Twins trade our best hitting catcher to Texas for a shortstop and prospect and then the twins flip shortstop to the yankees plus donalson and salary relief plus our best defensive catcher rortvedt for Sanchez , ursela .. Twins trade our 1st round draft choice of 2021 and the only pitcher in our system labeled an ACE , Longshot sure but the twins got sonny gray and a prospect ,, sonny gray is not ACE material but a very good pitcher ... Now we trade Roger's ( an above average coveted lefthander in the bullpen) and rooker with no real value as of yet for paddack and pagan that have taken some steps backwards with Padres the past few years and and a player to be determined later ,,, We also give san Diego 6.6 million if I'm reading the post right ... My point to the trades are we overspent on everyone of them and are hoping that a change of scenery will restart their careers ... Traded away above average players for players depth that we're hoping to trade at deadline once they build up value for prospects .... I do like shaking things up though , it should always be on the minds of players always that they can be replaced .... If only our manager would take the talent he has and tap into the talent potential and make that player better ,,,, Maybe Correa can help the lineup cut down on the strikeouts since he came from a team that struck out the most for a few seasons and then went to first in striking out the least in the league with Houston ... THATS adjustments and that's more of the game than analytics ....

What about John castino , Pete Redfern , Jim eisenrich and some others who were promising prospects but injury ended some careers before they really got started ,,, Can't ignore past prospects if there was no top prospects list back then .... We didn't need prospects list back then because we used the eye test .... Jim eisenrich went on in Kansas city to a career after battling nervous disorders , think he was sold for a dollar , rumor has it ...... I wouldn't go as far to say mauer was one of the best player in a twin uniform ... Hometown boy that just didn't quite have what it took to LEAD the team to a world series ,,, contract wasn't his fault but he just didn't seem to have the bulldog emotions as a leader , I would have done more than just be an example on the field to lead ... If mauer wasn't a Hometown boy , maybe I wouldn't be hard on him if he played for another team

If Martin and Palacios have a strong start in minor leagues either definitely have a chance with the early start over 40 man roster players to open the season if there is not a shortstop added ..... Cantarino , winder and strotman if healthy and get off to strong starts , we do have 2 spots currently left to fill on 40 man roster and once the season starts and adding enlow and maeda to 60 day IL LIST that will be 2 more spots to fill on 40 .... some Minor league players from AA on up to AAA have a great opportunity to make opening day MLB roster if and when WE PLAY BALL

Do we protect him or trade him ,,, his trade value is probably the highest of any current player on the 40 man roster followed by arreaz, in arreaz first season arreaz proved he is a major leaguer ( to me anyway ) , most players take 3 years to know what you get ,,, The twins have to much surplus and they play out of their primary position and are inadequate in defense , you need super utility players and the twins don't really have that at the moment ... I'm for finding a position permanently for the players and not just to get them in the lineup ... Trade the surplus of players that do not have permanent position for pitching ... Where do we find at bats for miranda , he will start in AAA WHENEVER .. also martin probably will be the shortstop starting the season because the minor leaguers are training and playing and ahead of the 40 man roster , Palacios could also be the shortstop for 2022

Carew and tovar stealing home in one game in the later 60's was outstanding action , Win or lose competitive action it is what we want , less strategy in today's game can make it boring ,,, pitchers duels are good topics to talk about too ... that pitcher beat us fair and square but our pitcher matched him almost pitch for pitch ... The business side of the game is to promote today's game to the younger generations and forget about the real old fans that grew with the sport ... The promoters or PR people have a knack maybe for business but are probably lacking a love for the game ... Promote it to all fans , have a killebrew day , a Carew day , a Oliva day so our younger fans might research the history of twins greats and be awed by there greatness .... Since we opened up target field field , what happened to bobbleheads , bat day , ball day , family day ,,, they make more money on target field but they spend less except on new scoreboards to distract fans from watching the product on the field , I love this game of baseball too much ,,, hardest game to play in all sports , round bat and round ball , square it up and drive it to the gap ... Someday I hope we can have hope that we have studs , aces and bulldogs to talk about ,, Will petty fit that bill .... For now I'll have to hope for the competitive baseball that front office has promised us and we will find out who the real sleeper is ... I can't remember any 1 hit wonders that only had 1 hit in a twins uniform .. While reading this my mind wandered to Nolan Ryan and what player had a cup of coffee and his only hit ever in the major leagues came against the Ryan express ... That would be a great story to tell their grandchildren .. My only hit in the majors was against one of the best pitchers in the game and his name was Nolan Ryan ( Ryan express )

Jax had some good success last year in twins uniform and his numbers in minors weren't all that bad +q¹q... watching him pitch I thought he could be suited better for the bullpen and dominate a couple of innings , it would be nice if he could generate more speed on the fast ball if moved to bullpen ,,, Jax is very intelligent and determined ,,, I think a move to the bullpen would be good for the twins ( bulldog determined ) ,,, The twins need starters so we'll see where he fits in to start A season

Of this is true ,, Mlb should sue boris for collision ,,, he's an agent not a negotiator representative for the players mlbpa union .. The jokes been on us since Manfreds letter to the fans back in December , maybe really since Manfred has been in office .... I haven't been a fan of his at all , i knew his labor lawyer status would be a downfall to baseball .... attendance is down across the leagues and have been decreasing for a number of years before covid 2020 ,,, the real loyal fans are leaving , owners have no real concept on how attract newer younger fans to the game ,, seems like their attitude is if it isn't broke don't fix it , well they better get their act together cause it's busted ,, ( I go to the games and I see the younger adults as partiers and not paying attention to the product on the field ) ( they are the last to give a hurrah ) ... I look at what they are bickering about and can't believe it from both sides .. This is a game both owners and players should love if they are devoted to the fans and not the money ..... Both sides have positives and both sides have negatives , plain and simple , figure it out and play ball .. parity and players non eligible for arbitration is necessary if for example I was in the players corners , I would stop the league from implementing new rules to the game that are supposed to shorten game times ,,, It's not happening in my eyes , play ball with analytics , cyber metrics but keep the strategy in place for the games to be exciting ,,, Some new rules maybe necessary in today's game but making a relief pitcher pitch to minimum 3 batters sucks , almost lost the game for Atlanta in world series against dodgers , strategy is almost non existence... I know some of this sounds like a double standard but I'd I was a played I'd fight for the game I love not just the money , If I was an owner I would fight for parity , the cbt is to high as it is for team parity and the players want it higher for the minority of teams that can afford it to pay them more free agent dollars per year . Sweet music viola , hrbek , Santana , perry , Kelly and a few more I'm forgetting during lunch hour Honorable mention but I would never put mauer on because of his inability to lead his home town team to a world series ,,, I never heard any praise from other players that mauer helped me with this and that , but players would say how Puckett, carew , Oliva, hunter ,cuddyer helped their careers , Mauer is my opinion and lots of folks loved him

A right on review ,,,, It would be alot better if Manfred and owners loved the sport as much as the ( loyal fans ) did ,,, I'll take it another step though , it also seems like the players don't love what they do and I guess that is business now adays .... No he has not met expectations with his streaky hitting .. His rookie season he was able to hit to all fields and was more a clutch hitter and has gone backwards on his approach since than with some injuries and demotions , maybe he should stop listening to all the advise like Buxton did and hit like sano used to hit ...
