    Great story ,,, I'd rather have stories than all this speculation during the lockout .... BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY , I would like our front office to tell us what the real plan is .. Someone please pin them down and get them to reach out to the fans and tell us ... Baseball is losing its best fans in attendance , they don't know how to market Baseball to draw more fans ...

    Everytime I see a signing like this I think back when falvy and levine were hired on and cleaned house with all personal in minor leagues , scouting departments and trainers etc. Falvy quote not mine is .. We have replaced all personal in the organization with top quality professionals in all categories of positions ... Doesn't falvy or levine listen to there scouting personal or are they just inadequate at their position .... Again this does nothing to move the needle for the competitive stance they speak of ... Yes I see this as a depth piece for minors and not on the parent club .... I'd rather see Palacios ,,, everyone raves about his defense and his hitting made progress last year in the minors .. Palacios is eligible for the rule 5 draft and we could lose him if there is a rule 5 draft this year ... If he is still in the twins system I say play him at shortstop if defense is that good and hope the bat is better than Simmons .... Also if I was owner I wouldn't want to spend 400 thousand for a player just to play in the minors ,,,, but FO could be crossing their fingers and also their toes and hope Beckman can have a career year

    Miranda hits close 270 in mlb , gets on base and scores runs ,,, miranda should help excite the twins lineup ,, Twins change third base coach and hopefully that will help twins score more runs also , he was awful sending players to score , slow runners he sent and out by a mile , fast runners he stopped and we didn't score with no outs .. Varland I hope pans out but have heard he only right now has 2 pitches

    If there secretive in their plans , approach and budget to the coming season how does a normal fan have suggestions on roster . It's all speculation at that point ... Pohlad in my opinion is lessening the payroll this year because he lost money the past 2 season ( that is speculation ) because nobody has said a dang thing on strategy, plan and budget .. I don't like not being in the loop and I was a business owner and I lived by ... you can't make money all the time , BUT YOU BETTER MAKE MONEY MOST IF THE TIME .. So you lose money 2 years in arow , write it off and pray you don't lose money 3 years in arow ,,, Keep the payroll no less than last year going forward

    Thank for this well written post ... I really don't know how to respond to it though.. Without favey / levine and pohlads giving the fans a plan or a budget for 2022 its most likely that the team will be competitive with our prospects to fill the positions ... that's all I have heard from them that we the twins will be competitive in 2022 but haven't shown the fans any strategy , plan , solution or hope for a the season ,, 81 -81 is competitive , isn't going to happen if your a realist ,,,, our front office doesn't move the needle .... for this to happen .... We probably need a new owner that wants to spend for championships and hopefully loves the game , ridiculous to love money if you can't take it with you ,, Have fun and enjoy it

    We have all these coaches , Hitting coaches. etcetera ... Can't someone consider to approach someone in the system that players need to make adjustments ,,,, It's happened in the past , why does it seem like it just doesn't happen today ..     I'd go along with this ,,, Last exhibit in the hall should be the hall of shame ,,, I don't believe Charlie hustle ( Pete rose ) should be in the hall of shame because he bet on baseball after he retired ..... He is a hall of fame player and played the game with intensity ... game changer

    You made a good point in discussions of who should and shouldn't be in the hall of fame .... anyone that tested positive after rules of steroids were established or anyone mentioned in steroid or congress committee reports should not be in the HOF , most of them lied that they did not use steroids and cheated .. later they recanted and said they did ...... BASEBALL is losing its integrity of the game ,,, I don't like the cheating , but it seems because they play without strategy in today's games the players have to cheat ... PLAY the game the way I should be played It's the greats of the game that should be in the hall .. Yes it was fun to watch the McGuire and Sosa homerun chase because it was a competition between the two that generated fans interest .. but it was not fun watching bonds setting the single season record and all time homerun record ... Hammering hank is still the top homerun hitter in my book

    I'd like to see the cba finalized and baseball starts with no delays .... Minor leagues will get started on time and some of our prospects not on the 40 man roster will play baseball and may leap frog some of the prospects because of their early start in the minors leagues ... For example Martin over Lewis , maybe even Wallner over rooker ... Hope no games are lost ,,, Wake up mlb baseball you're losing the best fans of the game

    Good write up jax numbers through the line up first time through ,,, I'd say an opener could be his calling and let's go for it ... Front office has never given the fans a real plan except to say we will be competitive .... Rocco needs to be better at evaluating in game situations and stop being out managed by the opposing manager ,,, Set a regular batting lineup ( lefthand and righthanded pitchers ) and stick with it , and play player's in their comfortable positions .. Let the players know there roles ,, this has nothing to do with 2020 and all the injuries ,,, this has to do with Rocco's 3 years as a manager

    Lewis has the most to prove as a number 1 draft choice ... I'm concerned about Duran and canterino's elbow injuries as rehab did not allow them to pitch again in 2021 .... I hope they can evaluate pitching injuries better than they get from the dumpster or low tier free agent pitchers

    Why does the front office trade starters to the yankees at trade deadline ... Lynn was traded a year later in 2018 at deadline , Yankees don't have a abundance of minor league talent because they are always trading prospects to improve now ... Yankees keep beating the twins everytime ..... They wanted Santana but they didn't have good prospects to return to the twins ...

    MINNESOTA PLAYERS GET NO RECOGNITION .. The writers are getting alittle softer on the criteria of voting players into hof ... Great players deserves the hall of fame , not good ... Rose as a PLAYER ( Charlie hustle ) deserves hall of fame or shame as someone put it ,, he got caught cheating after a great career the writers follow their divisions or league more closely and know the players better , fans do the same thing ... they either follow a American league or national league venues ,,, heard it many times in my travels , I don't know that player that well I only follow players in my division or league Are writers true fans of the game , do they have a passion exclusively to baseball , are they professionals or just sports writers that have been given the prestigious honor to vote ballots for hof . If Nathan and hunter do not get the 5 percent for next year ,,, that's enough to prove my point ,,, Hunter has gold gloves ,, that should receive some recognition .. Nathan was good but how great I'm not sure but he still deserves to be on the ballot ... They both should be recognized for a few years at least on the hall of fame ballot in my opinion ...

    no lefthanded starting pitcher .. it is important to the teams starting rotation ... helps keep the oppositions hot hitters off balance ... Can't keep throwing right-handers day after day ... making batters adjust to hitting with a different arm slot ,,, rodon would be a terrific lefthanded addition for a few years since we have no left hander at any level that are prospects ... We just resigned Buxton who is injury prone to a large risky contract .... Pohlad and Front office needs to be courageous and sign a pitcher that coukd be injury prone ,,,,,, I don't exactly know if he is but I do know if he is healthy rodon would win a playoff game

    Should have re read before I submitted ,,, I didn't mean to miss lead anyone on the proposal on Thursday with Manfred/ owners against union .. I'm just tired of Manfred lies and changes that he thinks are good for baseball

    Are changes like banning shifts / pitch clock or electronic strike zone part of the CBA or pitchers facing 3 minimum batters ,,, Last year in playoffs I was so pissed off that Atlanta couldn't pull the pitcher who just came in and couldn't find the strike zone ,, he had to face three batters and didn't get any of them out ,,, mystek came in to strike out the side and preserve the lead that eventually led to Atlanta winning over Dodgers ... I was yelling at the TV to get the pitcher out of there after he walked the first batter ,, no strategy in allowing a pitcher to stay in and facing 3 batters if your trying trying to win the game , supposedly its to speed the game up ... None of Manfreds stupid new rules have sped up the game time ,, I'm okay with the shift if they keep the players on the dirt , players need to adjust and hit it where they ain't ( there both strategy , hit it where they ain't and keep the shift on the dirt ) .... Also remember MANFRED moved the Allstar Game out of Atlanta to Colorado for HIS political reasons and then has the gall to attend the games in Atlanta's world series ... That is a hypocrite in my view ... Manfred is bad for the game .. Tell your friends

    Manfred said at the beginning of the lockout in a letter .. We owe it to the fans to get a quick resolution to the cba .. What a crock , Manfred and owners don't care about the fans or even the game ,,, money money and more money ,,, players are guilty too but this time I'm on the players side because I just can't stand the lies from Manfred and the owners ... Took 42 days to get to the table on economics , that's just telling the fans you're lying to them ..... My prediction is the players strike and I hope not because I love this game to much ... Tell your friends

    Sorry cody , this is not creative at all ,,, quanity is for AAA not on mlb roster , yes Pineda would be a better alternative proven twins pitcher to your creative post of quanity with a pulse ... Quanity will not win playoffs

    I concur owners have no love of the game ,, only the business of money money and more money ... Manfred also shows no passion for the game , he also continues to lie to the fan base ... Some players also have no passion for the game and only money , money and more money .... Let me clarify passion of the game, history of the game to the present is passion ... If pohlad had any passion for the game why would he continue to lie to the twins fans ,,, WHO IN MY OPINION ARE SMARTER THAN A FIFTH GRADER .. What took so long for the twins to retire #36 kitty kaats number , most wins as a lefthander in twins history

    I watched smeltzer in 2019 and 2020 ,,, he made starts and bullpen appearances .. His preparation for a start was quite unique and results were not that bad as a starter , as a relief pitcher his preparation was definitely rushed and his outings were not successful .... I thought smeltzer was better as a starter or an opener than a bullpen pitcher . Twins didn't see it that way and yes to bad he was injured in 2021 , He would have been given an opportunity to show his talent as a lefthander ,,, So we take another year to really decide at St Paul or with mlb club if he has what it takes to help ,, if he doesn't perform early in AAA he will be released ... I actually like smeltzer as a pitcher over thorpe a thrower ... A club needs a lefthander in the starting rotation ,, free agent Rodon I think is left handed
