  1. I hope he does more than player development , another coach at third base is needed too , so hopefully he can contribute as a third base coach as well and provide player development on the running game and tell the players how many outs there are ... I agree this is a good move and if he ends up as third base coach it will be a great move ... Welcome back to the twins again adrianza ...
  2. I'm surprised that we are even discussing jeffers after this write up ... Cody goes on to say early that he is a solid catcher , then alittle later he says jeffere hasn't solidified a catchers role and towards the end he says jeffers is not good on either side of the ball ... Jeffer is average at best ... We have no depth at catcher but I still wouldn't give an extension , but maybe a trade deadline trade could bring back a nice package with a 1 21/2 years remaining ...
  3. I agree we need catchers for depth in our system ... The fans see the need for depth at the catching position , that means the front office won't give the fans what they want and trade for him ... He could fall in our laps as a waiver acquisition though ...
  4. Not even close , another 4th place finish , detroit and Kansas city have some very good young player and are going to be the team's to beat , Cleveland might faulter some and we finish third , that's my best analysis ...
  5. The 3 teams that made the playoffs from the central division may have not done much , but at least they tweaked their roster on areas of concern , the off season isn't over and I'm sure they will address other needs ... I just have no confidence in the FO to get anything done because up till now they haven't done anything ... with a mandated payroll they still haven't traded the players that could bring the payroll to the owners liking ... If you wanted to trade players for salary relief and possibly have alittle leftover to add back a mid tier player at a mlb contract , wouldn't you try to get them traded so your not handcuffed in doing nothing this late in the off season ... From what some TD readers say , we aren't going to get much back for them anyways , so why is it so hard to make a trade ... Fo office keeps the fans in the dark with no communication and no optimism going into twins fest ... Is that when they will answer our questions is at twins fest , is the payroll going to be 130 or 140 and we arent trading anyone away ???
  6. This is something I did not know, Enjoyed the read ...
  7. I was always rooting for him to get a win but it just never happened ... He made it to the show so he was alot better than those that never had that chance , so he can be proud of being a major league pitcher ...
  8. They are both young , 21 and 20 .... There is time to be patient and let the players develop as they mature ... ,
  9. Love the twins almanac .... Love to jog the memories in the off season , especially since there is nothing else positive about the twins to report on ...
  10. The only good thing in the central is the white Sox will keep the twins from finishing last in the division ... The twins have holes to fill year after year and never seem to acquire the right player for those holes ... Pitching has been strong the past few seasons , defense and offense has struggled with inconsistency ... What's more frozen in Minnesota than the weather is the pathetic pitiful twins franchise ... Rocco is also a frozen stubborn manager ...
  11. I would have to agree that there has been no mention of the twins having a meeting , not by FO or the athletic or trade rumors ... I'm surprised that a few other teams didn't get one ( Atlanta , Boston or Philadelphia , they still may ) ... It's been the 7 you have mentioned , when sasaki was mentioned as a possible posting , in another article I stated Sasaki would sign on the west coast and I'm still sticking to it ...
  12. The twins may be interested and the rumor has it they are ... Fat chance they sign him to any kind of money fedde or Kelly got after leaving the KBO ... We need hart as a bullpen piece , and FO is in a wait and see mode to sign him for a minor league contract , maybe take a risk at 2 million dollar per year MLB contract for a couple of years ....
  13. I'm sure Cleveland traded Bo Naylor because he is a free agent at end of 2025 , they pulled a Tampa Bay and got prospects back ... Signing santana at 12 million was a head scratcher ( 7 million dollar raise roughly ) unless Cleveland really needed that gold glove ...
  14. There is just not any money to allow for bargains for a 40 man roster spot ... They'll continue to add minor league contracts like they always have , nothing substantial ...
  15. Does any twins fan really believe the twins can finish above 4th this coming year ???? ... You win with talent , you improve that talent for the major leagues in the major leagues , this is not a philosophy of our FO , Rocco and our enormous amount of coaches , we have gotten worse with more coaches than when we only had a handful ... The twins can't win with hope , they will have a hard time playing better than Cleveland , Kansas city and Detroit
  16. That just makes to much sense to have wallner or Larnach as a first basemen ...
  17. Because he is not a major league manager ... It just isn't there , he gets a talènted minor league player up from the minors an expects him to play baseball at the major league level , I have to believe that Rocco and his coaches are incapable of taking a minor league talent to the next level , you should be taking that talent and make that talent better at the major leagues , I just don't see that happening ... We have gone in the wrong direction at assembling a talented roster that lacks an̈ identity ...
  18. Though canterino hasn't pitched much minor league innings I think if he has a good showing in spring training and after a month of AAA he will be promoted if still healthy , time is running out and they just have to see what he can bring to the major leagues in the bullpen , I've heard over and over he has some of the best stuff when healthy , ( has a 40 man roster spot ) ... Yes , Raya has been limited due to maturity , but if he cracks the majors I agree it will be in the bullpen ..
  19. Raya , prielipp and canterino I think with their risk of injuries will at best be bullpen arms in the future , maybe Raya will be a starter at some point in his career but work loads have been light for all 3 pitchers ... I don't have that crystal ball for the right answers for the future ...
  20. That was last year ...
  21. I think this proposal is to weak ... I propose we trade Vazquez and jeffers to someone that needs established catching , then trade Duran of high quality to the Dodgers for 2 of their 3 catching prospects , an outfielder and either a pitcher or first basemen , but they would have to be major league ready cause we traded Vazquez and jeffers ... Dodgers want Duran I'm sure , they just have to give us the right pieces if our front office is smart enough ... I know trading both Vazquez and jeffers is a stretch but if the Dodgers catchers are mlb ready then we have young controlled cheap catchers that can go 50 / 50 in games played ...
  22. I'm sure the FO had some interest in bringing theilbar back with a minor league contract , that's was one of their wait and see decisions ... Happy new year ...
  23. Jeffers had more passed balls , they just called them wild pitches , no more accountability by official scorers ...
  24. Trade rumors site this morning ... He hasn't pitched in the majors since 2020 with the red Sox , 11 innings is all he has of experience ...
