    Yes santana has turned out to be a good clutch hitter and mvp worthy defense , not bad for an aging veteran that is playing like a youngster , I'd start thinking of an extension for santana , he's definitely strengthened first base ... 1 year with a 2nd year option ... Let's get the pen back to where it was at the end of last season , minus Stewart who is injured and may not pitch again this year , seems like he takes forever to heal after being out on the IL list ... SWR has pitched better than anyone' imagined , but can he maintain the endurance , he did finish strong last season in AAA , so that is encouraging , as far as the 5th starter goes it's going to be a team effort , I really want paddack if healthy and varland in the pen like last year ...

    I'm still not quite sure what kind of player is goibg to be about wallner , yes when he connects it is impressive the power he has , but the strikeouts give me concern , he has been better of late ... The regression of Julien and wallner this spring , but others were off to a slow start too ... Since we didn't make any addional players , I would like to advocate keirsey Jr and severino be given a look at solidify our lineup with consistency ... Nice to see dobnak make it back , let's hope his story continues , Festa has 4 starts , no opinion on him ... Kansas city addressed pitching needs last off season and the deadline and the off season additions helped them get to the deadline and then make additional pitching additions , there is not to many names on their pitching staff that was there last year ... As I stated, the Royals and fans have to feel pretty good about at least a wild card or maybe the divisional winner chance , their odds went up ... Pitching is what wins games and the royals certainlyhave improved their's , not saying we don't have good pitching , I like our top 3 starters , a good lefthander would have been a nice addition

    It would be a nice story for keirsey Jr to be added to the roster , dobnak was just added to the 26 man roster , we hold on to players to long in the minors only to lose them to other teams ... he didn't do well in the minors early in his professional career due to injuries , but since he has been healthy he has hit and played average or above defense ... I guess keirsey Jr if not given a chance in a twins uniform will be playing for another team next year as they won't protect him in the rule 5 draft

    We need a major league owner !!! Even the royal fans are more excited since the off-season and deadline moves , and it took a new ownership that is looking out for the interest of the fans ...

    It is plausible that the twins can win the division with our easy schedule , that's what we should be doing against bad teams ... It's the elite teams we have to worry about in the playoffs , we haven't played the elite teams well this season ... With little help at the trade deadline we could've been stronger contenders, now I'm afraid the twins are going to embarrass us by starting another losing streak in the playoffs ... If we make the playoffs and get swept , pohlads face cutting payroll again next year because they already know attendance and profits will be less ... It discouraging that the owners did nothing to encourage the fans optimizium , the fans see the window is open but the owners keep slaming the windows shut , not good business when the opportunity for glory doesn't present its self maybe but once a decade ... Ted I got reprimanded a couple of years ago for calling the pohlads PP's ...

    Sit back and relax , televised games are coming to those that are not streaming , Ober's fine and stretched out to go the distance ... He definitely is pitching better than Ryan , Ryan is still fun to watch too , and with Lopez , our 3 top starters match up good ....

    I too had forgotten all about Hendrick , He might be good for us in September but he'll have to work hard in August to get back to the show ... Don't forget , richards is our new lefthander acquiredat deadline ...

    I've been a life long fan of the twins ... I can't even be a fan of the FO and the pohlads for a day ... Does richards really move the needle , guess we will see ...

    Can never have to much pitching as they say ... It was a good story ( dobnak ) when the twins found him in the independent league and I think he made the twins that same year ... He wasn't all that bad then and now he seems healthy with some new pitches ... He worked hard , never heard anything bad about his attitude , pitching for the AAA saints ... He deserves the next opportunity and you can never have to much pitching , so I hope his story this time is just as good ...

    Festa going 5 innings and only allowing 2 runs , I would say that was a quality start for a rookie ... Our heart of the lineup struck out 10 times , hope the get away day game tomorrow they have better eye site in the sun ...

    Of the names mentioned , veteran Smyly would be a good target .... We need the bullpen to shape up , I sure hope Stewart can shake off the rust and get back to what he once was for us ....

    Thanks for your vent ... Boy you got me wrong , I was just responding to a quote to another twins fan and that's all ... I will say you were right about me not listening to Baldelli pre or post game interviews , I never listen to him .... We need a major league manager ... Thank you thank you very much ...

    It was a good week , winning the series against the phillies was huge , been awhile since we beat a high caliber team like the phillies and we beat them with without our best hitters , pitching was good through the series but Duran did have a melt down ... Detroit we won the season series ...

    Nolan Ryan would throw 150 plus pitches to complete a game , it's definitely a different game protecting the players because of the high salaries ... Ober was a fantastic artist of his craft today ...

    Good article .... Dip a toe or make a big splash ??? The MO of the FO will always keep us guessing , the bullpen is a major concern , especially our lefthanders , if we could have what we had in 2023 with varland , paddack , Stewart , theilbar , Jax, Duran and others , that would solidify tĥe bullpen , 2 montgs to go , figure it out quicly to overtake cleveland ... NO WILD CARD FOR THIS FAN , WIN THE DIVISION .... Just strengthen the lefthanders in bullpen , puk would have been nice but to little to late ...

    It seems like our FO and manager like to break records ... Last year we broke the record for most strikeouts , now they keep trotting Margot out to break a pinch hitting record of not getting a hit ( tonight was no difference , o'fr ) ... I like records of the positive kind , not the negative kind ...

    The bats started early and kept adding on ... Pablo was Pablo ... Now that's baseball at it best ... I loved the throw from Keith to first base , nobody there but the umpire ... Vazquez had an exceptional night at the plate with 3 hits and a walk , maybe tomorrow night he can get 4 hits ... Buxton is back , hitting and fielding , stay healthy Byron ... KNOCK ON WOOD ...
