  1. 75-78 wins, not not much better than 2021, and we continue down a rebuild path. Unless everyone is healthy, next season could be a disaster.
  2. Nice to see two solid wins. What is important now is to see more consistency. Obviously we won't win every game 9-1, and still need some pitching help, but this is a good start. I'm not always bitching and complaining, but the last 45 or so games has been frustrating as a fan.
  3. We have seen the Sano story too many times. The minute he gets called up major league pitching/scouting will figure him out.
  4. What those teams had that the Twins don't? Pitching depth. While they were wild cards, all you have to do is look at the performance of the staffs. When was the last time the Twins had a staff that was remotely close to any of those teams you listed. 2006?
  5. Won't get fixed this season, and now the starting rotation needs fixing. Hope the FO doesn't send any prospects for a rental. I hope there is a large revamp of the staff next year.
  6. Could care less about the all-star game. Haven't paid attention to that crap for a decade. However, it sounds like there is a monumental effort going on 24/7 just to get him on the field. That is really concerning. Remember, if it's his knees, most likely it will only get worse, not better. The last thing I want to hear is he plays in the all-star game and aggravates the injury. I'm more concerned about his long term health. He has rarely been healthy, and those things generally don't get better as he gets older. Even when he plays alot(this season)it seems there are many things that keep him from being close to 100%. He is great defensively, but has become a liability on offense, and I'm sure that is mostly due to his injuries.
  7. That would be fantastic to have him for 4 years, but it just makes him more expensive from a trade perspective. Dow we have what the Marlins system needs to make this trade? Or, is another team a better fit?
  8. Not sure how much he is helping the team at this point. Buxton's strength is his legs. Legs(knees) typically get worse without extended rest. I would expect Buxton to continue to get worse and a good chance he isn't playing by the end of the season.
  9. Unless we overpay, we aren't getting him, or any other quality pitcher. There will be bidding wars for all these guys. Do you really want to overpay to help THIS year's team? They are not going anywhere, so why mortgage the future?
  10. Yeah, the pitching really hasn't been that good for awhile now. Started with the bullpen, and it's essentially everyone(pitchers.) Team is now 13th in team ERA(MLB) and dropping. If you look at the numbers, tonight's pitching matchup does not favor the Twins. There are enough good position players to have some hope for the future. But I see almost no hope on the pitching staff. Not only that, this team has almost ZERO intangibles(doing the little things, etc). I've said it before, without Correa, this team is no better than last year.
  11. Miranda, Kiriloff and Larnach are going to be fantastic MLB hitters, Celestino may be too. Duran and Ryan good pitchers. Not sure we can trust Lewis with all his knee injuries any longer. Lets hope the organization can build around these guys. We'll take any win when the team is struggling.
  12. Brewers starters look vulnerable? Hmm then, how do the Twins starters look?
  13. Maybe the White Sox will figure it out and save us all from the streak going to 21 playoff losses.
  14. Twins will win the division with 84-85 wins, maybe less...which means .500 ball the remainder of the season.
  15. 2-13 with RISP was the game. Our best starting pitchers are starting to struggle. With the deep bullpen we have, this is going to be a problem going forward. 20-23 last 43.
  16. If the team finishes poorly up to the all star break, I would just leave the team as is and ride it out the remainder of the season. This season and team is not worth sending away any more prospects. This is an average team, next year, with a balanced schedule, we will see that this is a 75-80 win team once Correa opts out.
  17. Kiriloff and Duran, MAYBE Ryan....this is no one else worthy of discussion. Buxton is not unless he can stay healthy. Buxton is not a steal unless he can prove he can stay healthy.
  18. I guess we'll find out. Unless they fix the bullpen, they'll continue to play under .500 baseball the remainder of the season. 20-22 the last 42 games.
  19. I keep saying...losses like these will catch up to this team by the end of the season.
  20. This team has ALOT of work to do(Players, Manger, FO) to be playoff ready. Could have really done damage to the Sox by winning today. Like they have done so many times this season, they let teams off the hook.
  21. all 5 losses against Cle in this stretch have been total choke jobs by the bullpen. How do you get those losses back? A few more losses like these, and we'll fully understand the impact at the end of the season.
