  1. Seems very possible. Since he wasn't a highly thought-of prospect until this year, the FO might view it as selling high. I'd personally be pretty devastated, though, watching this guy rake has been my favorite storyline of the season.
  2. I haven't been following baseball for very long, but one thing I've picked up on is that if you talk about a shortstop, somebody always has to assert that they're not really a shortstop.

I certainly feel the frustration, but I hate the defeatist attitude that people have about Minnesota sports. When the Twins are bad, I like to speculate about the future, look for bright spots, and think about what moves they can make to improve. I hate when people let conversations boil down to "Well, that's just Minnesota sports. We should never expect better." That's the attitude of a boring person with no imagination.
  4. Can Wind Surge players be called up to the Saints after their season is over?
  5. Where's Miranda? He didn't play last night either. Is he injured or something?
  6. Can't wait to see him on the same roster as Austin Martin.
  7. If Graterol really breaks out in the future, then everyone won the trade. Until then, Twins won.
  8. Uh, what are we looking at for Kenta at this point? Are the Twins reduced to rookies/bullpen games only? That's not great.
  9. I hope that Buxton forces us all to issue apologies to him next year.
  10. Gardenhire seems to indicate that he's been let go due to his struggles at the plate, but MLB Trade Rumors notes his usefulness to a contending team. My guess is that the timing is exactly for the reason you say. He's definitely the most impressive defender I've had the privilege of seeing at CHS Field, much more fun than the times I've bought left-field tickets just to have a front-row seat for Rooker serving as a warm body. The crowd loves him too, he always had fun clowning around for people yelling stuff at him from the rail at center field.
  11. The Saints dumping Broxton is going to be hard on my foster daughter who has a crush on him. Hope he figures it out somewhere else.
  12. I think relievers are undervalued, just look at the first half of the Twins' season to see how much damage a bad pen can do. If this guy's eventual fate is to be a solid bullpen arm, that's great news!
  13. At this point in this season, good starts from young pitchers make me almost as happy as wins. Cool to see Ober solid yet again.
  14. Obviously it's time for Polanco to get injured.
  15. Scientists do not yet have instruments delicate enough to measure the shortness of the leash I'd want him on, but sure.
  16. Sano needs to ask the opposition to take it easy on us more often.
  17. Found myself in the footage of Kepler's homer. I'm wearing a "Twins #1 Fan" finger oven mitt because I thought it would be funny.
  18. Imagining Miranda in the mix and doing the Vince McMahon escalating reactions meme.
  19. If you want it enough to pay for it, milb dot tv is not unreasonably priced.
  20. The worst thing about this pandemic has been figuring out how to work with, support, and love people in my life who I think are harmfully, passionately wrong about a life-or-death matter that affects others as well as themselves. People who I otherwise want to keep close in my life. Fortunately, Andrelton Simmons is not my mother-in-law, and he hasn't done anything for me lately. I support rewarding Maggi with a few months of major league paychecks for his good work, I support giving Gordon another shot, and I support shuffling things around in any way that will bring Miranda up.
  21. I got this guy's autograph after a Saints game one time having no idea who he was, ha. There was just a line for autographs and I jumped in and had him sign my cap. Looked him up later and felt a bit silly for waiting in line for his autograph thinking he was a player. He seems to be a good guy though, so whatever.
  22. I now look forward to the rookie pitcher days, what a weird season.
  23. It's really a joy to see a borderline-giant like Sano move like that. What a thrilling play. I still feel really good about Ober. Fans always find a way to ask for more, but for a rookie going up against a really great offense, he did really well. Much better than I was expecting.
