  1. Although I'm not a huge Buxton fan, I never have been, he has brought some very entertaining baseball to Twins fans when he is able to play. Will he be in Twins Hall of Fame? Probably yes. Does he belong there? Maybe. We all wish we could have watched an injury free Buck a lot more than we did. I wish him the best.
  2. I never understood the construction of this current 26 man roster. They are 3-6 pretty much what we could have figured given the lack of talent on the team. What in the world does Outman have on the Twins? There is no reason other than he is out of options fir him being there. Release him. You have plenty of help supposedly ready fir the majors now. Get them up here now. This team is lifeless and in a deep sleep.
  3. To me the ABS system is ok. I think the Twins continue to do a terrible job of using it and then blowing their challenges on early game challenges of much significance. It's quite obvious some players are more interested in their personal stats and "looks" than a team concept. It comes across as selfish. And Outman? He doesn't belong on this roster. So what if he doesn't have any options. Release him. He is just taking up space.
  4. Actually none of them. The idea of the Twins extending any young player may be intriguing but seems preposterous and not somethings the Twins consider anyway. Twins need to learn how to scout better. Oh that's right they got rid of the scouting department pretty much. They really need to develop these so called can't miss prospects much better. They must also drop this policy if thinking they have to keep a player like Outman because hes out of options. Such very strange roster decisions this year. Anyway bottom line is no to extending any of those mentioned in the article. They are under team control.

  6. Seems to me that we just don't have nearly enough good players on this very poorly constructed roster.
  7. I agree with others on here. Lee should be playing everyday to see if he can be productive. Indicating that Lee could be on a short lease coukd certainly be said of several others on this team. Rocco did a very poor job of helping to establish and develop young prospects at the major league level. For several years the Twins have shown that they rarely develop their "can't miss" prospects. They aren't going to be competitive at all this year so let's play and develop the young players. Shelton may not be the one capable of doing that.
  8. Yes Bradley looked very good in spots. Just as he looked not nearly as good in other spots against Baltimore. We definitely need to see more consistency and further development and progress. But yes its definitely a positive sign.
  9. How you didn't mention buxton overrunming second base by a wide margin and get tagged out. Maybe even the fly ball to deep center he gave up on to play it off the bottom half if the wall from about 10 feet away. Buxton usually catches that ball. How about Bell making the cardinal sin of running from second to third on a ball hit to third and running into an out. How about not classifyi g Mick Abel appearance as a bullpen appearance and o ly piggybacking to make the bullpen look good. Lots of mistakes but it was and is expected all season. Fun baseball? No not at all. But we still watch
  10. The series was competitive but definitely not good. For all the great plugs you give Buxton you completely ignored the fact that he totally blew the first ABS early in the game. Totally unnecessary and wasted. Also how convenient you didn't m
  11. I always am amazed that we are always told how great the minors leagues are especially at AAA. Well they were a bad team last year so let's wait and see. Also if some of those great can't miss prospects are so good they should be on the Twins NOW instead of the many stiffs and dead weight there. It's probably manipulating player control time or something. I hope the Saints are good but I'd love to see the Twins be competitive.
  12. Nice article. It even tends to solidify the Twins philosophy of hype and hope. Oh dear what a long season it could be. But I still follow t h em. Yes I signed up for Twinstv again. I love MLB just very frustrated with the Twins and their direction. Do they have a direction? It certainly doesn't look like it.
  13. Big year for Lewis in 2026. He definitely needs to step up. I think its make or break time. If he doesn't show some big positive steps it ma be time to move on without him.
  14. Nice article. It serves as a reminder that we surely don't have much of anything to look forward to. I will watch as always but it doesn't mean I have to like it, nor does it mean I approve of them. A very, very strange roster construction. Rocco was a terrible manager IMO but I think Shelton may be worse. As the season clogs along and attendance takes another nosedive I fully expect ownership blaming the low payroll on fans not showing up. It's the Twins way!!
  15. My expectations for the Twins are at an all time low. But maybe that's good. But the current list of "can't miss prospects" are just different names to add to the fire. Guys that were supposed to be super But are barely hanging on. It will be fun to see how the younger players develop under Shelton. After all he had a great run in Pittsburgh. Right? Go Twins!. Still love you but not buying into the continued hope and hype. Im done being fooled. You will have to prove it to me this time.
  16. No extra confidence in their decision making. If this were true many of those "can't miss" prospects we keep hearing about would have been kept on the 26 man roster. Time will tell. Dumping veterans may work. What we have left are just as suspect. Going to be a very long and boring summer of Twins baseball im afraid.
  17. It's going to be a long tough year for many of us Twins fans? Lewis will play third to start. However he needs to step up big this year or its time to dump him. I think this would have been the year to start a couple of those "can't miss" prospects since the team isn't going to compete. There surely isn't much to get excited about this year. Plus the bullpen will probably battle for the worst bullpen in baseball.
  18. Very interesting decision on Liam. Another story i read from a national source said Hendrix asked for his release. Oh well I guess it doesn't really matter as apparently tge Twins didn't want him anyway. So the leftover candidates don't give a person any hope at all. Some of those guys couldn't make a AAA team. Oh my its going to be a very long season.
  19. Im sure it will be interesting to see which players make the 26 man roster. But after 6 decades of following Twins baseball i have never seen or felt this much apathy for the Twins. I certainly understand it and agree. There is very little here to get excited about or even interested in. The question will be when will they be eliminated from any serious contention thoughts. Also will they lose 100 games. Maybe set another new attendance low at Target Field. It is so sad what has happened to our Twins!!
  20. Yes indeed. Just another in a long list of can't miss prospects. Hype and hope. Does that sound familiar? Just the names seem to change. After all these years of reading about all these great prospects then watch almost all of them fizzle out im not buying the hype anymore. Prove it on the major league field then we can talk about it.
  21. OMG it's a little early for this isn't it? Besides he will probably either be a dude or grossly underperform in the majors. Just more hype. Nothing new here.
  22. Nothing changes with this organization. Considering keeping a washed up over hyped player like Outman because they may lose him if they DFA him. No options left. But other players may get sent down or traded because Outman has no options. There's a lot of negativity here regarding Larnach but I would take him anytime over Outman. Then you have the great Shelton telling us how great many of the young players played this spring but sent them out anyway. This team will be lucky to win 70-75 games this year as it is. Oh my. What are we doing
  23. Like always with Twins prospects it's always way too much hype. If and when he debuts in 2026 Jenkins must play everyday for better or worse as they say. Too many great prospects have been ruined as the Twins call up a player that plays full time in Minors only to play part time on the big squad. The Twins do a great job of ruining a lot of these so called can't miss prospects.
  24. I figure them to be middle of the pack. But at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. They are just suspects until they prove otherwise. We have had plenty of those the past several years.
