  1. It's the same old thing with Twins pitching. Too many ups and downs with far more downs. I think Bradley will just turn out to be an average pitcher. More hype than substance. Not much changes with these Twins.
  2. Interesting article. Very possibly could trade Clemens. The same reasoning for trading him can be said of trading Ryan, Jeffers, and maybe even Buxton if he waves his no trade clause. If you have no intention for contending you may as well trade them while you can get good value in return (hopefully).
  3. Interesting article. Not a good one. Just interesting. Love any Mauer related stories as he doesn't interview much anymore.
  4. He will likely be traded for prospects. I don't see giving him a QO for 23 million when they have been cutting payroll for quite some time now. And if somehow the Twins were given $23 million more in payroll it wouldn't make much sense to spend it on one player when you could get 3 or 4 players for that 23 mil.
  5. Just another ho hum bullpen pitcher that another team dumped. I hope he does well here. It's just the continued process of throwing something at the wall and see if it sticks.
  6. It is strange that Outman keeps a spot on this team. He provides very little and produces even less. But they keep him? Don't they have ANYOBE in minors to promote? If not then this team is in much worse shape than I thought. Outman must have something on someone. It sure isn't that he is a major league baseball player.
  7. Yes the Twins should trade Ryan and probably Jeffers too. I just don't see the Twins paying upwards to $30 million per year to Ryan. He is g
  8. I was afraid when Shelton was hired we would get Rocco 2.0 which would have been disastrous. He is much better than Rocco but still just average in my view. At the end I gave Rocco an F. So far I give Shelton a c+ maybe even a b-
  9. Good article but perhaps a little overblown. It shouldn't affect the Twins so much as they have a reputation for having prospects linger in the minors. They should be happy because then their service time clock will be presumably held back. Walker and Gonzales near ready? How do we know that? They are on the injured list as much if not more than playing.
  10. Count me in as one that is pleasantly surprised about the Twins overall play. They sure are performing better than I thought they would. Also count me in as one of the skeptical ones that is waiting for the other shoe to drop so to speak. Im trying to enjoy their play. I do like Shelton much better than Rocco. Time will tell. Go Twins. It is SO much funner when you win or at least play well.
  11. Nice win Twins against an injury riddled team. Let's go for the sweep this weekend!
  12. The Twins were right in sending him down to St. Paul. He has looked totally lost at the plate for a long time. He needs to stay there for an extended period not for just a couple of weeks. He seems to worry about his mechanics on each pitch. Nothing seems smooth and natural. Maybe he's got information overload from so many people telling him so many things, sometimes conflicting things. Maybe he should ignore them all for a time and just be himself.
  13. Just another "can't miss" prospects on the injured list multiple times. Big deal. What's new?
  14. Contending team? Mainly because they play in a terrible division. They certainly are not serious contenders in the overall scheme of things. I admit to this point they have played better than I thought. It's fun watching them when they play decent baseball. They have a long way to go to join the better teams
  15. What about Buxton? Why didn't they put him the dl instead of not being able to use his roster spot? Jeffers im sure will not be with the Twins next year. Maybe not even the end of this year.
  16. Proving players hit in bad luck is dicey and also somewhat suggestive. Plus it's a good excuse for poor performances. Poor free agent signings may be a better answer.
  17. Sometimes I think Lewis keeps getting his head filled with so much that it's hard to concentrate. So many different coaches telling him how to do things. Perhaps if he just said " screw them" and just hit like he used to and not worry about all the mechanics and stuff idk. Something has to change though.
  18. E-Rod on injured list again!! Walker Jenkins on injured list again!! They are on the injured list more than they play. So jow do you count on either of them if they can't stay on the field?
  19. They sure are showing a ton of patience with Wallner. And Lewis too for that matter. SWR same thing. It's rapidly approaching time to move on from these players.
  20. I won't feel better until they dump some of the dead weight in the bullpen. I'd rather have younger guys Pitching with at least some potential than these retread old timers trying to hang on. But our new closer after less than 2 innings? Laughable.
  21. Typical strange move by Twins. Funderburk isn't perfect but statistically was the third best option. And while sending down Funderburk is being justified by some my opinion is it would have been more justified to release Garcia, Bandai, or even Topa that statistically keep proving they don't belong here and why other teams didn't want them.
  22. Why in the world did tge Twins bring up lefty reliever Rojas and send fellow lefty Funderburk down on Sunday. Funderburke was one of the few guys in the bullpen doing fairly well. They sure had other candidates to send down or DFA. Big slap in the face to Funderburke. Such a messed up organization.
  23. Need we say anymore? Sending down Klein and keeping stiffs like Bands and Garcia shows how totally ineptitude this so-called organization is!
  24. Your article commented about how the Twins played so poorly against a bad team. That's a very good point. So to is the fact that the Twins are a bad team. Why sugar coat it? With Woods-Richardson Pitching on Thursday afternoon the chance of winning woukd seem low.
