    May had a chance to adjust to major league hitters, Meyer was not healthy. What more could they have done in 2014. Maybe May will beat out Milone for the 5th starter spot. Maybe Meyer will start in the bullpen. 2015 will be interesting.

    We will watch with interest and keep our fingers crossed. I am hoping that Meyer and May pitch in relief until a spot opens up. I am hoping that Gibson is not the first to fail. It is going to be a very interesting season from the first game onward. Will Hughes repeat his dominant season? Will Nolasco be the pitcher we signed? Will Gibson improve? Will Santana be the pitcher we signed? Will be Milone be the crafty lefty we traded for? What about Meyer & May? Will Pelfrey be able to help us in any way? and thats just the starters,

    I am hoping the lefty Milone is the 5th starter, which means that May, Meyer & Pelfrey are in the bullpen. If Pelfrey is the long reliever, this means that May & Meyer will have plenty of chances to strike out batters at important times in games. This could work out very well for the Twins.

    I think that the odds are that both the Santana signing and the Hunter signing are not going to look good at the end of 2015. However, if I am wrong (and I hope I am) then we should be in contention for the whole year and Target Field should be brimming with fans.

    I have always been a staunch Terry Ryan supporter. Now, after the signing of Hunter and Santana, I am wondering if he is losing it. Perhaps the attendance falloff is pressuring him into desperate and ill advised moves. We will see.

    Molitor and Sabermetrics are an interesting question but I'll be more interested in seeing if they will play throough the 9th inning for Molitor? I want to see if they come out fighting after a bad loss? I want to see if they start bickering to the media when times are tough? I want to see if they run the bases more aggressively, and field the ball with more situational awareness? Will the outfileders hit the cuttoff man and prevent the extra base.? Will the pitchers blow up when a fielder makes an errror? How will Molitor handle the bullpen ? These are the things I am waiting to see in 2015

    I look to Brett Lee to be this years breakout pitcher. He is not a speedster, but he fills the crafty lefty role. No team can have enough of these types of pitchers. If he has a normal season with an ERA under 3.00 he could even see a promotion to AAA if needed.

    stringer is right. Forget Hicks. The fox in this henhouse is how will Molitor manage these assets. In Minnesota, due to the cold weather, no results really count. Bad pitchers (Hughes, Gibson) aren't really that bad. Good hitters really aren't that good (Kubel and Collabello). Our experience told us what Gardy would probably do. Who will Molly continue to run out there and who ends up in his doghouse? Those are the questions and we will be second guessing him all the way.

    It will be fun to see him back in the lineup. He certainly killed the Twins last year. Welcome home Torii

    Woulen't you hate to see Milone non-tendered and then doing well with another team ? Give the guy another chance. We need a Lefty starter.

    I say no. If Sano was not in the picture, I might say yes. With so many unknown factors, I think it best to go from year to year.

    minor league fill ins. partly because of Rosario suspension & Buxton injury. Their experience helps keep the kids in line

    After a year of Molly, with a losing record, pitching arms on the DL, clubhouse disharmony and open rebellions (<< my prediction) we will all look back with fondness on the Gardy years.

    We can only hope that Rosario will play his way into the 2015 opening day lineup

    Swarzak is a proven long man. Unless we have 5 solid starters, we need someone who can suppress runs and give us a chance to score. What lefthander do you want to use against lefthanded batters ? Tonkin, Pressly, & Oliveros showed nothing special in 2014. No matter what the Twins do, I doubt our bullpen will perform much differently than in 2014 unless the starters pitch better and limit the relievers innings.

    I agree. There is no indication that Cuellar is not a good bullpen coach. Also Steinbach might be a good coach to bring back.

    I am disappointed. As a staunch Gardy fan, I would be happier to see someone outside the organization get the job. However, perhaps Molly will hire Bruno as the batting coach, and that will make me happy

    Pinto could be a powerful major league hitter, even though his catching skills are limited..How would you like to see a lineup with Sano, Vargas, Arcia, & Pinto. One possible way to do that is by using a Pinto rotation so that Pinto, Vargas & Mauer play 5 games out of 6. Usually Pinto and Vargas DH unless Mauer needs a break. Mauer plays some games in LF. Pinto Catches 2 times in 6 games. Pinto DH's 3 Times in 6 games, Vargas plays 1B 2 times in 6 games. Then 3 times in the next 6 games. Vargas DH's 3 Times in 6 games, Mauer plays 1B 4 times in 6 games. Mauer plays LF 1 time in 6 days.
