  1. There is one BIG mistake the Twins made and that was letting their batting coach from 2 years ago leave instead and paying him more to be an Asst. Mgr. He had ALL the Twins making solid contact for extended periods. It has not been close to the same since he left for just a little more money and a title. A Twins blunder for sure!!
  2. I don't see the knock on Donaldson! To me he was one of the only players that showed any passion about the losing ways. He hated it. Others just went on playing and collecting checks. As for Correa, forget the Clubhouse. Look at the field stuff. He is always in dugout encouraging and congratulating the younger guys. Always smiling. Get him signed long term and stop talking about Royce Lewis!! Lewis either goes to 1B or LF. SS is out!!
  3. Start playing Royce lewis at 1B today in St. Paul!! He is athletic enough to pick it up quickly and then get him up to the bigs Would cover a lot of ground at 1st.. Time for him to live up to #1 prospect name!! Would give us another outfielder too.
  4. Forget OF. Move Lewis to Firstbase and then fastrack to Target Field. Sano has refused to be coached on hitting to all fields. Trade for a prospect.
  5. Correa is fine. 3 multi-hit games in a row. Sano needs to go to St Paul or another team for a young prospect! Enough with Ortiz comparison. It aint happening. He is unwilling to change his swing and use the whole field so ship him out!
  6. STOP with the Exit Velocity crap! That's always the bail out with Sano. "He struck out 20 times this week but did you see the Exit Velocity on that hit he got Wed?" Ridiculous! Worst part and every former player Twins announcer like Smalley and Morneau have said it. He refuses to work on using the whole field. Look at Miggy for Detroit: 3000 hits but still over 500 Home Runs. Sano could be same hitter but he doesn't understand that after all this time. Keeps wanting to pull the ball and impress with that darn "Exit Velocity"!!
  7. Not until he can stay on the field! One of the best when playing. But there is a reason he doesn't qualify for some of those categories!! Can't help from the bench. Twins are 8-8 because he was out.
  8. Larnach got some hits but still has no clue what he is doing in the outfield. Gardenhire in St Paul needs to teach the kids how to play a wall. None of Twins young guys know how!!
  9. Wow! The Twins have "MASTERED" helping young Pitchers? What universe are you living in? Gardenhire got fired because of his refusal to fire his good friend as a pitching coach who never improved any of the Twins pitchers. He took the guy to Detroit and same issue. Pitching never improved. The the Twins get a solid D in helping young Pitchers over the last 15 years?
  10. Didn't Rocco's Cyber-Metrics binder that he stares at in the dugout tell him to hit for Kiriloff in the 9th? The kid was lost at the plate. 3 K's! Otherwise good game.
  11. Not much ahead of him so he should come quickly.
  12. Seth: You forgot two highly important issues!! One: Teams run on Jeffers at will. (So walks quickly turn into doubles) (Average staff = Lots of walks) Two: He struggles hitting curve balls. Much like Sano.
  13. Enough of hoping for Lewis. Even when healthy he struggles hitting curveballs and hasn't even seen the good ones yet. Same as Jeffers. He can't hit curves either. And we have strikeout guys at the corners!! Plus who is playing left? Larnach is dreadful in the field and the last 6 weeks was lost at the plate. Not sure where the runs are coming from. And with the pitching staff we will need 6-7 runs a game to be competitive! Good Luck with that
  14. Folks. Open your eyes! This is a salary dump. (Again)! Now we have a starting catcher who can't hit a curve ball and who teams run on at will! Lost one of the few players with any fire in Donaldson. Got an average past his prime Pitcher. And will have two average, but cheap players on the left side. Still nobody that knows how to play left field. Look for a 90 loss season.
  15. "Pitching Pipeline Coming"?? Amusing comment!! You have really drank the Twins Kool-Aid!!!

  16. They need to change dugout reviews. Allowing the Manager to stop the game, watch a review and then say: "Oh, never mind" once he sees he is wrong is ridiculous. The Umpires call it live speed. Let the Manager decide to challenge Live speed. Give him 2 a game. Period. Don't let him review it before he makes his decision!
  17. Without an Ace or even a #2 it does not matter how many games they play!! No team has ever gone deep in the playoffs without an Ace. But the Twins are fine with that as long as they make money. It is never about winning with the Pohlads. They are happy just to make money. We will never win until we get new ownership.
  18. You people have GOT to raise your standards!! If you think Odo is part of a solution we are in BIG trouble!! And the FACT is any team without an Ace cannot be taken seriously and that's where we are.
  19. No No No! Stop with the "Get by" options! Give some kid the experience!!
  20. An article on Falvey and the importance of developing our own pitching talent for long term substainability? How absolutely amusing! Why? Two words: Jose Berrios
  21. Speaking of FACTS: It is very RARE that ANY team has ever gone deep in the playoffs without an ACE or a #2. Falvey now says he might go with the 3 Inning concept for each Pitcher. Good Luck with that!! Just admit we can't afford good pitching and that winning the division is not our goal and that just being profitable is!!
  22. Without pitching may as well keep him. Twins are going nowhere without pitching and with the moves the aggressive Tigers and White Sox have made. Will push 100 losses again with weak hitting at too many positions and no Ace.
  23. Who wrote this review- Falvey? Always go with the most recent history. ERA above 6 and a sore shoulder. That makes it EXACTLY a Twins same ol same ol move!!
  24. You are thinking way to creatively for the Twins! First of all , whatever the floor is you can be assured the Twins will figure a way to spend the least amount of money. That is always their starting point. How can we spend the least! That keeps them from cutting loose Sano and getting a productive player at first as you suggest. They also showed an unwillingness to spend at a key position like SS. So relax and get ready for another missed playoff season. Broken down pitching, Simmons back at short, Sano waving at curve balls and incompetence in LF will again be the story for 2022.
  25. Bundy will be on a shuttle. Not to St Paul but to the Mayo Clinic for his arm strain issues! Another oft injured on the cheap selection by the Whiz Kids. Get tickets in the outfield if you want a ball when Bundy pitches!
