  1. If we don't blow away PIT there's something seriously wrong.
  2. There's no stretch to see that Lee is a naturally great INFer but of course he needs time to get the feel at 2B, While Julien is overstretch at 2B, he really has to work at it. Therefore my suggesting that they should have Lee at 2B & Julien at 1B. Julien was a poor 2B in his MiLB career & started out MLB worse. It's really hard for me to see Julien improve as much as many say, I don't trust the defensive stats that they spin. Which protrays Julien as good & Correa & Santana worse than they are. It seems to me that somehow Correa & Santana are compensating for Julien to make him look better than he is. Lee is a much better 2Bman than Julien naturally, he makes our whole INF better and has a leg up on Julien. Lee is a better overall hitter but Julien's approach make him more of a power hitter.
  3. I've had faith in Festa to be ready when needed to be called up to the show. He has progressed & still has room to rise.
  4. Very true they couldn't pay them but until a couple of years ago they couldn't develop them. The constant outflow of pitchers, those pitchers dramatically got better after leaving. To name a few Glasnow, Cole & Musgrove were so-so SPs with PIT but became elite SPs with other teams. Archer was a very good & promising SP before PIT & was terrible after, In the last couple of years PIT has upgraded their pitching development dramatically, As we saw last night
  5. PIT always had a good eye for good pitching & not able to develop it properly with bad team. I really wanted for us take advantage of that situation. They still have a good eye for ptching but now they are able to develope it & are a team to be reckoned with.
  6. Julien went down to AAA to make room for Lewis but the most important reason is to change his approach. Now that he's down together with Lee, they need to have Lee on 2B & Julien at 1B. 1B will be Julien long-term position so why not finally have him play there? Which is the next important reason.
  7. I really like Elias Diaz & wish we had him in our system but what do we do with Vazquez & his $10MM/ yr.? Vazquez is catching more games is because he's a much better catcher & Jeffers has 60% more ABs because he's a much better hitter, The last 2 game trend Vazquez has 1 HR, 1 double, 1 BB, 0 Ks 6ABs against RHPs Gil & Stoman. Jeffers is 0-8, 0 BB, 2 Ks, against Brown & LHP Rodon. Vazquez is a very good back-up the problem is price tag
  8. Lopez having SOs taken away from him, having some pitches not going his way, which piled up his pitch count, Not having Lewis or Buxton in the line-up, having RH hitters that shouldn't be facing RHPs, facing RHPs. Lopez didn't complained or let it effect him on the mound still he took accountability of the outcome of his pitching. What a breathe of fresh air! Wish FO took note.
  9. They should have had Vazquez leading-off
  10. NYY has LAD coming to town, They counter & rest Soto & Judge
  11. MIA will eventually trade all their veteran SPs that's including Alcantra. Those that they don't trade at the deadline will trade next season maybe not Perez.
  12. Dang! NO Lewis or Buxton, Come on Twins give a s***.
  13. Yes, Pablo shut them down! Line-up whoever you are, pulloff a win.
  14. Will CLE add at the deadline? probably nothing significant. Twins? Hopefully much better
  15. I don't see Alonzo ever happening. Neither Kepler, because Twins value him much more than anyone else in the league. If no one wanted to give the Twins anything for him when he was worth something what makes you think they will now? Even if they are desperate. No teams will want any of our mistakes. Some competitive team that has a hole at catching might consider Vazquez but doing so we will create a larger hole for ourselves. When Vazquez came he offered us an upgrade in defense & all that is involved with that. More so offered Jeffers a solid base to pull himself out of the ashes. If we trade Vazquez we will have to pay down his salary & will lose the base for Jeffers to continue his ascent. We will have to find a solid replacement that'll most likely not as good defensively, maybe better offensively & expensive.
  16. Great job Seth! Saints look super. What impressed me most about Julien wasn't his HR but his 0- Ks, keep up the good work. Wallner is progressing well in his Ks only having 1. Their clone Severino, since they also have the book on him, isn't doing very well & Keirsey (who didn't play last night) is more deserving of the 40-man spot. Martin is being Martin & should be up in the show. Especially with both Julien & Lee in AAA, they should have Julien play 1B Lead-off hitter Jay Harry (CR) had a good night but the Loons cleaned up on CR. Happy to see Loons lead-off hitter (former GG Twins prospect) Noah Miller having a good night with his bat, sorry!
