  1. It's not easy to express yourself in a 2nd language. I give Jorge Lopez & Duran credit for trying & we should be understanding when they don't come across exactly in the way they intended by mispronouncing or wrong sentence structure, Lopez is an emotional player that can work for him but most of the time against him. He was frustrated against the umpire & himself not the team so what he said got misconstrued & out of context, In his need to vent he make the mistake of speaking w/o an interpreter.
  2. It's very usual to have more than one prospect involved in a big trade, so Gonzales could be used in a big trade. Depending the target I'd not trade anyone #1-3, #4 or greater is open season depending our need. Gonzales is overrated & not needed in our future. So he'd be my primary trade bait.
  3. Paddack battled to get through 5. Alcala & Jax were great in the pen (happy they kept Alcala at 1 inning). Love the clutch triple by Correa with 2 outs and Kepler had a clutch hit. Jeffers's 2 HRs were both needed. Happy we pull this game out.
  4. 3 up, 3 down w/ 2ks. Superb outing by Alcala
  5. Ok Alcala have a great game. Right now Thielbar is credited with the win
  6. Great clutch hit, that's what the doctor ordered
  7. I was surprised early in the box score why Keaschal was at DH. You don't need much of an arm to play 2B. Like Spencer & CES, Keaschal will be sought after at the deadline and could be good trade bait. But I'd trade Gonzales before him. We haven't had very good luck at the dead line. Hopefully the next time they find a healthy pitcher body & emotions.
  8. Looks like the Paddack haven't settled in yet. He better bear down.
  9. I've been close to quitting the Twins for different reasons but being able to vent your feelings on TD helps & encouragement from friends here has kept me from doing so. I'd hate to lose you as a TD brother & hope you venting has helped you from not losing interest in the Twins. Because you'd be missed.
  10. I am a firm believer that Miranda should have had the 1B job together with Kiriloff & Julien and have him playing there throughout spring training to firm up our 1B position, I'm a firm believer in all our players & was against almost all the new acquisitions that took up playing time & even roster spots of our in-house players. Miranda could be our full-time platoon 1B but because of Santana he'll also need to play some DH & 3B to fill out his ABs
  11. I would argue the semantics also but the truth is Farmer's hitting has been terrible. For a steady Farmer's hitting to change so much there has to be a deep mechanical flaw that he picked up, emotional tragedy or injury. Whatever it is the appreciative Farmer isn't talking but you know he's working on it. Unfortunately, we've had to use Farmer much more & in less than effective situations than we'd like. Yet we were fortunate to even have him to fill in in such a difficult situation of injuries. Farmer is a great guy to have around & IMO Farmer will work it out. But the handwriting is on the wall even when he works it out. With the flexibility of Castro & Martin & the addition of Lee, Farmer will become redundant. But with the hestitancy of FO to DFA veterans & the possibility of Julien being optioned to AAA to reset at least for the time being IMO Farmer is safe. Maybe when he finds himself a trade could open up. As I hope for Margot & Santana.
  12. There are a lot of fans, especially older casual ones, who can't watch the Twins on cable and will lose interest in the Twins. Brian you are not a casual fan & if you are losing interest just think of maybe tens of thousands older casual fans will stop following the Twins all together. We knew this even before they signed a contract with Bally the outcome would not be good but this has turned into the worst-case scenario.
  13. I don't either. I don't really understand them how they work because. Not only with underrated but also overrated players' defensive stats. IMO it's when one overcompensated for another.
  14. Absolutely agree, KC has Ober's number. Is Ober tipping? & Lupo has the Twins number, Not a very good combination. You don't get the full impact or value from defensive stats & that should be considered when evaluating a player. Correa does so much more defensively than the casual fan can appreciate.
