  1. OK, I took the middle ground. Miranda can hit RHPs & if we need him, we can have him play 1B, DH, & 3B against them. Why I have him in a platoon at 1B is because we need a place to put Julien & Kiriloff. 1B is their best position & they can hit RHPs better than Miranda. Right now both Kiriloff & Julien are unavailable. So w/o Santana, Miranda would have sole procession of 1B.
  2. I'm a believer in Miranda, Now that he's good to go, I did not doubt that he'll do what he does best & that's hitting. He has made adjustments & he'll continue to make adjustments as the need arises. Miranda is a great fit as the RH platoon at 1B together with LH Julien & Kiriloff, This platoon is much better than Santana as the primary 1Bman. The few times that (RH) Miranda plays at 1B it's to hit against RHPs because switch-hitting Santana has trouble hitting RHPs. Santana is kind of hot now but earlier this season & later in the season & beyond this platoon will shine. This signing was a waste of money & time from having this platoon cemented into the Twins' future. I don't see Miranda as trade bait.
  3. We started the game without our prized left side on defense. No Correa at SS, no Lewis at 3B & no Castro at LF. TB is a tough team you don't devastate your whole left side against them, I'd rather they rest them one at a time away at OAK instead all three at home. TB took advantage of us stealing bases, a concern I've had for a long time, I imagine other teams will try to exploit that. But good thing defense doesn't matter. Still, again, it was a game we should have won. A shout out. Great game by Miranda & SWR for keeping us in the game.
  4. OH, well. Twins didn't want to win this one. Analytically it doesn't matter.
  5. A stolen base changes the situation completely for the worse
  6. Many said "Oh, he'll regress, he can't maintain this production." Even if he regress a little, he'll still have pretty good numbers.
  7. I like all of them but the Nationals may not be sellers. My main concern now is Thielbar. Everybody hopes that he'll be able to come back. They'll give him every opportunity to do so. but there's a good chance that he doesn't. If he doesn't we could be looking at a very good LHRP. MIA has Tanner Scott & A. J. Pukk who'd be 2 good choices. My choice for RHRP is Varland & hopefully later Canterino.
  8. Ricky Castro, although a small sample size in low A, is showing promise to add to the pipeline. High draft picks seems to be volatile & takes a long time to develop. I'm content in the way they are able to find opportunities in the lower draft & develop them into potential low to medium-tier SPs. Then find a Lopez or a Ryan on the market & turn them into something more.
  9. Lee is keeping up the pressure. Martin shouldn't be sent down. FO should make some difficult decisions for them that should be easy. Along with Lee is Wallner, Kiriloff will heal & Julien when he figures things out. It's time for FO to undo at least in partial, the mistakes they made in the off-season, They can't completely undo everything. Eeles is hungry, IMO he wants to make the most of the opportunity that he has. Seth, would love to see an interview with him. Balazovik is frustrating, after a good outing he follows up with a clunker
  10. Looks very promising! The trickle from the pipeline seems like it'll turn into a gusher with pitchers like Castro. Don't know how many will turn into high-end MLB SPs but we can hope.
  11. I'm also a big fan of Ben Rortvedt. A pretty good defensive catcher (Gerrit Cole preferred catcher) who can hit when allowed & coached to be himself. I hated to see him go & advocated to bring him back. Now that TB has him, they won't give him up.
  12. Alcala isn't somebody we want to overuse. I'm also in the camp of using long relief so we don't also overuse some in the rotation & being able to have someone *Varland) who can also come in when a SP has an off day.
  13. I'm with you bro as far as adopting ABS. But umpires are human not necessarily scumbags. AI taking over is scary? 🙂
