    This is more likely. Paddack for Jimenez and flyer prospect B would have been standard. Dobnak is the replacement of flyer prospect B. He just is and the entire baseball industry knows it. The bottom line is they left a possible future prospect on the table for a 2mil or so savings towards ownership.

    Another fact, no savings on Dobnak's contract will ever be put back into this franchise. How that can even be suggested is beyond me. It should be an interesting day coming up.

    I like the trade, I'm fine with getting lottery ticket Jimenez. But industry consensus is when you pass off more money onto the team you are trading with the return goes down. That's a long known fact.

    If we trade Correa it needs to be to make the team better talent wise. No salary dump by ownership. If Pohlad's got rid of his salary it would only be replaced by another 4-6mil has been veteran. That is likely. If it's a fair deal that can be made of course you listen and think about it. Obviously no one is happy with his 2025 performance.

    I couldn't agree more. You have nothing to lose by recalling Martin, absolutely nothing. You can only gain. If he struggles so what? But if he doesn't..... So lets keep Martin in St.Paul. smh

    If you're going to sell on Ryan, now through this next off season is the time to do it. When will Ryan ever be worth what he is now? Never. But with that said the return must be significant. As for the players listed, yes they'd be a significant piece. But what else do each of these teams have that would meet the needed price for a possible CY Young SP? imo unless we are going to make the moves to get better in 2026 you don't sit on a Ryan. You capitalize on him. All I've heard on here for two years and from the org is how great our pitching pipeline is. Is that true or not? If you're not building to be a true contender then you don't need Ryan. Whether you win 77 games or 69 makes no difference. Play your cards right and you can turn Ryan into the pieces that make you a real contender in 2028 and beyond. The present team even with Ryan is not a contender. Not even close.

    What doctor said about trading Julien two years ago is correct. And you were correct, should have traded Julien two years ago. It's too late now. He has no value left. Martin I don't believe will get traded. I don't see him getting a chance with the Twins necessarily but that he will have options next season yet does give him value to the club for injury reasons. And as others have pointed out when Castro gets traded its possible Martin does get the call. He too would net little by trading him away.

    This is getting close to the point of where this isn't just a slow start but rather this is who we are and what we have. It's very much looking like a cluster phuck.

    Only fallen stars on this team. I've been holding off judgement on this team and trying not to be a Debbie downer, but it is as I thought in February. This team is not a team. Poorly put together and no life to it.

    I got to not like listening when Provus came on board. Just not a fan of his yelling about a HR when we're already behind by 7 runs. Nothing personal. I grew up listening to Herb. Nothing could measure up to him.

    Julien and excellence do not go together. I'm sure he's a great an likable guy. But no excellence.

    Flip a coin between Gasper and Julien. I would have no objection to both going down and calling up a second player. I liked the spark that Martin showed when he was called up last April. I know many have given up on him but I haven't, imo he brings far more to the club than Julien does.

    I have no confidence that Lewis will ever stay healthy. His own history is what warrants this. This isn't said to speak negatively about him. It's my perspective. I also have no issue in him being confident in himself. That being said however. Royce has no grounds or standing to downgrade Schwarber, another player. Lewis should call Kyle up and issue a public apology to boot. On this he was very wrong. No excuses.

    This trade was a huge loss for the Twins. Lost Miller and gained Margot. That says it all. As for Doncon, he's a middling prospect.
