    I can think of one reason...ownership's unwillingness to spend what another team will to get one.

    I watch alot of Met games as they have always been my #2 team. On eye test Id go Walker. His numbers are OK. He is an upgrade from Archer-Bundy (I know...) and his price fits the Twins pockets.

    I dont see the team ever dropping stacks of cash Scherzer style. 1) Ownership will not agree so its DOA. 2) With the present game plan to limit starters to 5-6 innings no matter how good a start is going it would be a foolish waste of money. Better to develop in house starters and sign hopefully above average relief arms.

    I have always believed defensive metrics are highly subjective but not as subjective as pitch framing which is nothing but a crock of s#!+.

    Mets. In SD 1984 when couldnt get Twin TV only radio. Could get Mets TV (thanks Vermillion cable) start watchin Mets. Watch Mets 83-84, 84-85 and 86 NL Met fan since. Always Twins.

    Ditch the all analytics all the time approach. It killed them. Teach fundamentals like base running, hitting the cutoff man. There are too many instances where their dumb mistakes make them look like little leaguers
