Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 He lives in an alley behind a liquor store. That'll make for a quick trip to replenish then. Good thing too, the top of the inning is coming up. That'll take about 13 seconds.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Author Posted August 6, 2013 We look more like the Astros today than the Astros did yesterday.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 He is better than his numbers....and we have him for another year.....
B Richard Provisional Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Wow... glad we have our fundamentals down.
James Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 That pick off of Plouffe was so terrible, they refused to even show it on TV... at least not when it actually happened.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Author Posted August 6, 2013 Oh MY GOD!!! Doumit with an elementary base running mistake followed by a pickoff with a guy who rarely takes a base. Gardy better be having a stroke right now.
B Richard Provisional Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Sometimes rooting for this team is like being trapped in a bad marriage.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Well, I'll say this about the Twins...they have no starting pitching, no offense to speak of, and spotty defense, but boy they sure play with their heads up their collective a$$es.

I'm looking forward to years and years of watching Clete Thomas and Bernierzie get after it.
James Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Now I kind of want to keep watching the game just to see how bad it can get. This game can only described as some sort of train wreck.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Can we watch these Twins now? Nice lipstickhttp://2.bp.blogspot.com/_TcwbPuj2SZ0/TN7-OyhSegI/AAAAAAAAT6I/aE7tWSGaf14/s400/Bia-Branca-Ferres-Synchronised-Swimming-Twins-Bikini-1.jpg
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Author Posted August 6, 2013 OK... That kinda makes up for the baserunning goof. However... I'd feel better if he made that catch and didnt make the baserunning mistake,

Gardy better be having a stroke right now. While he's at it, he might ask himself why, barring an injury we don't know about, he'd let his starter suffer through a shelling in the second, somehow get the third out, and then not let him come out for the third. What's that point of taking him out then? Now you need 6 innings from your already tired bullpen, your team is already down 6, and your "innings eater" starter threw only 50-some odd pitches. At what point do people start holding every level of management responsible for what we've seen on a nightly basis for 2.5 yrs now? They lack talent, yes, and that's not on Gardy (although it's on the next level of management), but can anyone say with a straight face that Gardy has gotten the best from what he does have?

I don't think they are Twins.

Thegrin Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Maybe the Twins will switch Correia to the bullpen and make Swarzak or Duensing a starter. I know, they have both tried and failed as starters, but it is a new year and maybe the reason that they have been successful relievers is that they have learned something.
snepp Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Amazing how poorly Correia has been pitching. He had sustained success for a long time. Even the biggest critics couldn't have estimated him imploding this bad. By "for a long time" you mean 5 starts in April, right?

Typically... I defend... To answer your question... I do not think Gardy as gotten the best out of lineup for 2 years now. I really don't.
