GCTF Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Gonna be one of those 6-7 inning bullpen games.
Thegrin Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I hate watching Correia pitch. I hate his results. I hate his contract. I wish he would give me reason to like him.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Perhaps Correia should try lobbing it in under hand?
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I guess in theory, "they can't still be looking for a fastball down the middle, can they?" might have some merit, but one could also theorize that's not what's happening.
Thegrin Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 underhand lol that would make it more fun to watch than this.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Posted at 7:39... 2 hours to get thru Chicago Traffic... ChiTown will be joining is in the 8th inning. No, but oh crap ... wtf! I left work it was still 0-0 ... I mean WTF?
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Watching Correia pitch = an evening with Rex Hudler.
kydoty Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 What the hell is goi...oh wait, we're not playing the Astros.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 No, but oh crap ... wtf! I left work it was still 0-0 ... I mean WTF? Corriea meltdown > Chitown traffic.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Great, my wife just saw the score, it's going to be hard to convince her the game is still more important to watch than what ever reality program is currently playing on every other channel at the moment.
James Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I'm not sure if the Twins realize that watching the game is supposed to make me not want do other things around the house, as opposed to the other way around.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Boy, Correia sure does suck.
Badsmerf Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Amazing how poorly Correia has been pitching. He had sustained success for a long time. Even the biggest critics couldn't have estimated him imploding this bad. I just was coming in to checkin on the game, I see there isn't much to check in on.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Author Posted August 6, 2013 No, but oh crap ... wtf! I left work it was still 0-0 ... I mean WTF? Lots of things can happen... In the same amount of time. I grew a pimple.
gil4 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Think about the Blue Jays... The Blue Jays are 51-60 ...The Blue Jays went for it... I'm kind of bummed about that, too. Their manager's aunt and uncle have lived right down the street from my parents for almost 40 years (I spent a good part of my childhood playing baseball in their back yard) and their pitching coach is from the same town (I umpired a lot of games while he was playing - I was in the same grade as his older brother.) I hope they can have a strong finish and convince management to give them another year, but it's a rough business.
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 guess it's back to the liquor store. j/k i mean
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 My girlfriend (not originally a baseball fan) is trying to learn more about the Twins after seeing how bizarrely I care about them. I've explained a lot to her (she knows who Sano is and understands Morneau's sad story), but I've had trouble selling her on the franchise as it currently stands. How do you explain a rebuilding phase to an entry-level fan and get someone to buy in? Dollar dome dogs and random fan events between innings.
James Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 On the bright side, I still have beer in the fridge. Also, if this game keeps going this way, I might have to start switch to whiskey.

GCTF Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 LOOGY Brian Duensing on to pitch to one batter in the third, I assume.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I thought you lived in a liquor store. He lives in an alley behind a liquor store.
gil4 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 guess it's back to the liquor store. j/k i mean If this team hasn't caused you to stock up enough already you're either not a serious fan or not a serious drinker.
James Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 If this team hasn't caused you to stock up enough already you're either not a serious fan or not a serious drinker.Or he drinks so much that he can't keep anything stocked.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Dollar dome dogs and random fan events between innings. Sounds like the Saint's plan. Does it still work if it's $6 dollar dogs and random corporate paid advertising between innings?
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Watching grass grow > Reality show > this game I think I'll just read a book. They still make those right?
