WORLD SERIES GAME#1 TAMPA BAY @ MILWAUKEE 10/23/26

[Parfigliano]

A first time World Series winner will be crowned this year.  Everybody agrees it should be Tampa.

Right?

[Linus]

Go Brew Crew!

[MackMan]

Gotta go with our State and interleague rival. Go Brew Crew. Also, Molitor has a lot of history there as well, so it's definitely them.

[Mortimerkenny21]

I'm kinda leaning towards Brewers and do think they will win it all. But also, wouldn't hate it if Tampa wins. Hope it goes at least 6 games and is a very competitive series!

[Vanimal46]

First world series where the whole series is likely to be played in dome stadiums. If Milwaukee has their stadium closed tonight when it's clear and 57 degrees they'll keep it closed all series.

[Vanimal46]

oooh, a Bob Uecker segment! this oughta be really g-

*Narrated by Ryan Braun*

dammit...

[Mike Sixel]

Was rooting for the Brewers until they screwed over long time fans who paid big money for Golden tickets.

Now I don't care.

[Vanimal46]

Let's play ball!

[Vanimal46]

What I'm most excited about is the non stop political ads every commercial break. Can't wait!

That was a real dick move by MILW.  As usual $$$$ over decency.

[Vanimal46]

Good to know for next game a 7 PM CT start time on the TV actually means 7:15 until first pitch.

[Linus]

Not to sound too old school but I am not a fan of playing the infield in so early in the game.

Really, they didn't honor them, that's pretty low. Doesn't seem like a way to keep fans around.

[djvang]

Brewer fans are also Packer fans. Go Tampa!

[Mike Sixel]

Miz dealing.

[Vanimal46]

If you download the Fox One App on your TV and sign in with your TV provider you can watch the game in 4K. It's ridiculous that the normal FOX channel still operates in 720P in 2026.

[Vanimal46]

The picture quality is crazy on that app compared to my Xfinity feed. They have the technology there... Why is this not available via antenna or cable subscription?

[Vanimal46]

I can tell this WS is a hot button topic on this website when there hasn't been a post in 20 minutes. I'm sure the ratings are going to be record breaking /s

[Linus]

And it’s fun baseball to watch the way these two teams play.

With the long layoff after the ALCS, I totally forgot until Mrs Ash reminded me a few minutes ago.

Fantastic/risky/courageous play by Bauers on that grounder to third just now.

So fun on this website tonight...

[Linus]

What a great throw and what the hell is the baserunner thinking?  Trying to steal third with two outs is Little League.

[ashbury]

And then Contreras ups the ante with a pinpoint bullet to nab the basestealer.

On an 0-2 pitch, I think - that might tilt the odds just a little more in favor if the runner thinks he's got the timing right.

Wrong catcher to gamble on, though.

Imagine fans after the NLCS. Brewers waited 8 days to play another game

[Vanimal46]

Also, welcome aboard you 2 to this lively thread Wow what a bang bang play to throw out Hamilton at 3B!

[Linus]

Man, the execution on the throw / relay. Really fun to watch.

Think of all the load management days the Twins could have utilized! 🤣

We would have found a way to fit in a bullpen game
