Your observations are astute (hey nobody calls me a stute). I’m thinking your understanding of the situation exceeds the runners 😀. I’ll take a guy standing on second with the batter getting another swing.

With two outs and 0-2, the odds of scoring a run are already very small, so any strategy probably has little impact.  Your choice is completely defensible.

In addition, I doubt the brain trust leaves this level of decision making to the players, and has this 0-2 situation figured out in advance, among dozens of others.  The dugout could have signaled the third-base coach to cross his arms the other way, taking off the red-light and signal the runner that if he feels he's got a good jump to go for it.

Whoever called baseball a game of inches had it wrong.  That drive down the third base line was by microns.

If original call was foul that call would have been confirmed too.

Try again.

Yeah, my bad.  Digging for information that might or might not exist about a ballplayer seemed funny to me but I should have found a different way to bring that out.

It's good to know that the thousands I spend on homeowners' each year is going to a nice young man like him.

I was just talking to my brother about this. Why are we both long valued clients of State Farm? The real answer is we're both too lazy to look at alternatives. It was the insurance my parents put us on when we were getting our driver's license and I haven't explored others on the market...

TMI I'm sure, but I live in a fire prone area.  My coverage with Farmers was not renewed.  Another company or two likewise didn't have an interest in offering a quote.  State Farm was the only viable option, at approximately double what I had been paying.

Also BS. That’s gonna keep happening with insurance companies throughout the US. They all pretty much peaced out of Florida

Feels to me like a wink and a nod between companies to selectively pull out of regions, leaving only one major company per region to charge what they want.  Maybe State Farm will explode my theory by pulling out here too.

My primary care visit cost went from $10 last year to $360-something this year. surveillance pay, I’m sure.  I guess our country would just prefer we all die? lol
