I hope we find out more about the end of the giants commanders game. Quinn is fired, whether it’s now or end of the year, but he’s not calling offensive plays. I suspect the OC messed up. The receivers were way down field, so it wasn’t a situation where Daniels was supposed to spike the ball.

It was comical.  Like the clock didn't exist.

Everything Jayden did in that final sequence makes sense only if he thought he had another timeout.   If receivers are running downfield, running with the ball in the middle of the field should've been off the table.  I'm not saying he's the only one who screwed up, but that decision to run back toward the middle just cannot happen

After this week, the Vikings are still not getting enough love in the various power rankings.
And Vikings fans who stayed glued to Fox got to see that double-boneheaded end to the NYG-Wash game.

Vikings won’t get the respect until the offense is consistently better and they beat some better teams. Looking at the schedule after the bye, there will be plenty of opportunities to show themselves against good teams. Beating the saints and dolphins won’t get you much love at this point.

He has defied every possible age cliff...especially for such a large man who takes (and delivers) so much punishment.

I will be the last person to hop off the King Henry bandwagon. I try to draft him on my fantasy teams every year.

I hopped off awhile ago and out of honor and respect have watched from afar with jealousy.

He’s an alien for NFL standards. Like you said he defies every red flag for normal RBs with volume, age, etc. He’s also been extremely durable which is a premium in the NFL. I would say him and Christian McCaffrey have bucked the trend, but CMC has had lost seasons due to injury. King Henry hasn’t

Remember when your opponent going ahead in under 2 minutes meant the game was over? Teams score so easily with the kickoff rules its kind of silly

Is it time to start considering messing around with the goalposts (narrower or higher)?  50 yarders weren't meant to be chip shots, and the 40 yard line wasn't meant to be field goal range

While we're at it, move the OT period back to 15 minutes now that both teams get the ball.

I'm becoming old, aren't I

Florio put up an interesting theory re: the Commanders/Jayden Daniels debacle at the end of the game:  did Daniels think that it wouldn't end in a tie and they'd simply move on to the next quarter, sort of like you would in the playoffs?   It sure looked like he acted like that was the case given he didn't even show any urgency to get up once he was tackled until after a few seconds and his line was hustling to the ball.  I had been thinking maybe he thought they had a timeout remaining, but wouldn't he have been signaling for one if that was the case?  It just gets stranger and stranger the more I think about it

I just said that last part (not the old part, that's on you) about the OT period to my wife last night.  There's no reason for it not to be 15 minutes and you can see how coaches are abusing that shorter time frame to eliminate the idea of both teams getting a possession.

Wasn't the whole idea supposed to be "player safety" for the reasoning to chop off five minutes?  I guess they're now fractionally more rested for that overseas flight to play that 17th game.  Player safety!

Good. Low profile as long as possible sounds like the best course of action right now. Murray looked significantly better last game, and the play calls seemed much more suited to his style. I actually think there's more good things coming from the offense. Not elite obviously, but possible high-end game manager kind of play perhaps.

Sean Payton and friends are still not banned.  They can shut up about player safety.

Daniels mostly likely either didn't know there were zero timeouts, or that the game would be over, but I still think the OC messed up and thought he had three TOs in OT instead of two. They huddled before the play and had wide receivers running deep routes, so someone other than Daniels called that play, and that play was NOT to spike the ball.

And even if the OC did stupidly call a play to throw the ball down field, either into the endzone or out of bounds, obviously you're at least going to say to your young QB, 'Uh, remember, nobody can get tackled in bounds on this play'. And that play without a doubt was stupid. Because even if Daniels did throw it, it could still result in a turnover or the receiver getting tackled in bounds. No play caller should have ever, ever, ever called that play with where they were on the field.

I think most likely Daniels is a young QB without a command presence who like a robot does what he's told without question. Which was always my Kirk Cousins nit pick actually (though even Cousins the boy scout wouldn't have followed THAT call). Obviously a good vet QB would disregard the play call and then chew out whomever called it later in the locker room.

Also, the OC, David Blough is all of 31-years-old. He's actually more inexperienced calling plays than Daniels is running them.
