Brewers are destined I think. Wouldn’t bother me. I also don’t live out there or know one single fan of theirs

Ratings will decline sharply for the WS. This will also be the year the 85 win Guardians win it all which will incentivize every low spending owner to shoot for 82-85 wins every year nothing more.

Or is it all a ploy by the players to show a salary cap isn’t needed?!??? Conspiracy time!

Why doesn’t every low spending team have voodoo magic to develop and fix players no matter how they acquire them like Milwaukee, Cleveland, and Tampa? Are they dumb?

Brew Crew can play some defense. Chourio swing reminds me of K Culpepper.

Oh and David Ortiz is a complete waste on TV.

2 🚨old friends 🚨 pitching in a row for Tampa. The Twins must have been flowing in pitching talent to let Tyler Wells go unprotected in the rule 5 draft 🙄

be nice to have a Catcher that can play defense and throw out runners ,  Rays stole this guy from the Marlins, and he is a good hitter ,  if only Jeffers was better at Defense - oh well  its gonna be probably 2+ years till we see a quality all around catcher here ?

If your best players are not available (Aaron Judge) or hurt and not performing (Shohei Ohtani) winning in the postseason is more difficult. Last night’s Dodgers loss is more on Roberts for leaving Snell in to long,  although the Dodgers BP did not pitch well either.

Over the last decade the Guardians have won more than 90 games per season 5 times, the most recent being 2024. They have a loosing record 1 season since 2017. They are also fourth in MLB in win percentage over this time.

Our Twins in contrast over the past decade have won more 90 games in a season only once (2019).  They have had a loosing record for 5 of these seasons.

I’m not sure what you’re pointing out? That the Twins should be better? I absolutely agree.

The 2026 85 win Guardians are in the drivers seat to make the WS. Tom P is salivating at the fact to strive for 82-85 wins every year to get that sweet playoff cash.

I didn't think of removing Snell until midway through the lengthy and (ultimately) decisive at bat.  But after the loud foul that was pulled, it felt like Snell needed to come out right then, slap in the face though it would come across as.  I know the manager wanted to keep the lefty-lefty advantage, but Bauers this year was doing well against them.  And sometimes a manager has to make an impolite judgement.

Meanwhile I was thinking that Gasser should have been left in to try for an additional inning.  The reliever immediately gave up the slim lead.  His offense picked him up right away though.  Anyway the guy you bring in for the 6th inning is the guy who would not have come in the rest of the game, had the starter made it through 6 - and the other two relievers who did come in did fine.

I know it sounds like second guessing.  And just because runs scored doesn't mean the manager used bad strategy.  But I wasn't online and didn't have anyone to chat with about these things, so here I am.  😄

I really enjoy the old school organ at Dodger Stadium. One small hint at baseball’s rich history.
