I believe so.  I don't see Larnach being offered arbitration again.  I don't believe Buxton will be ready by next spring training, and I fear will also be brought back slowly like they tried in 2022 with the semi-DH thing.  I think there will be enough room for all of them.  The order, how much playing time, and what needs to be worked on in the offseason, is what is being evaluated now.

The only other present day guy I imagine might get into the mix is Gabby Gonzalez. I feel the rest offer better defense and a variety of approaches and speed too

Is this ERod's first major league walk?  The a-hole ump wanted to ring him up, but fortunately ABS challenge was available and he was confident enough to call for it.

Considering his reputation for watching pitches go by, he seems to have taken a smart approach and crossed up the book on him these first few games.  But eventually everyone needs to take the walk when the pitcher won't go after him.

The upshot may be that the umps will just redouble their efforts to haze the rookie, just like they seem to do to every new guy who comes up.  Maybe it's just selective memory on my part, or maybe umps really do have an agenda (not an anti-Twins one, particularly, except to the extent our team tries a lot of rookies).

81-81 seems like a bad idea to me. The team can trumpet improvement and tell us a .500 team was actually good. I think there will be more impetus for change and big moves if they finish several games below. Shouldn't seem like a big difference, but I think the optics of a .500 season really does look different.

I've been a radio guy for most of the summer, but you're memory is the same as mine; umpires made a concerted effort to let rookies know where their places were.

I mean, except for Yankees rookies obviously.

Correa is paid more than the twins whole lineup today --  Twins pay him to not be here ,   Comical    and we wonder whats wrong --   new ownership and direction  A.S.A.P

I think this season will already be considered a success from the standpoint of excitement around the team during the summer, finishing better than last year with lower expectations, and eventually bringing up the youth, although too haphazard and late to make a real difference.   Even if Zoll is replaced in the offseason, I see Shelton being back next season.  Think of the Molitor treatment when Falvey took over with the added uncertainty of the MLB offseason.

, finishing better than last year --  might end up in LAST place  - whole american league was off this year .   Youth will hopefully be the bright spot ,  but as a Team   NO

That should give him enough to go shopping....still recall his comment about it. I will say one thing...Buxton is cut from a different cloth than Correa.
