it feels like there is no in-between with Zebby. It's either a really good start or is a complete disaster

Have you been watching him pitch.  He has 18 starts and is averaging almost 6 innings a start.  He has had 3 starts where he has been blown up, or else it is 4 runs or less in those 6 innings.  He keeps his team in the game and gives them innings as a #4 starter, not sure what more you want.

4 singles and batting well over .300 with the singles night. Hitting like that gets Arráez constantly traded and yet to get a him a multi-year contract. Go figure.

He's got a different profile than Arraez, he will hit for a little more power and has speed.

Even with the base-hit, almost half of the pitches he has swung at tonight have been out of the zone, and mostly early in the count or the first pitch of the PA.

I am not sure why you appear to be actively rooting for a Twins player to fail.  I do not recall you analyzing every Clemens plate appearance when he was hitting under .200 for a month or Bell when he was slumping.  Lewis has been one of our top hitters since his recall and is going thru a little slump, that happens over a 162 game season.

Haven't been able to watch the last few games - and I have to say - doesn't look like I missed much. Brutal series in San Diego - seems like Morris had an 'Alcala' moment on Saturday night - and last night was too close for comfort.

I can't watch 8:40 p.m. games and rest easy on a weeknight. Especially with this team.

I guess the 9th inning justified my decision? 🤣 Sending hugs out to all my brothers and sisters in Twins Territory for staying up through the end!

Not actively rooting for any player to fail, just pointing out a very obvious problem/shortcoming a hitter has.

He chases out of the zone, and does so early in the count. When he's going good it seems to work, but can not be sustained, MLB pitching is too good.

Other posters, including myself, have stated this fact about many Twins players.

Sorry if I struck a nerve by stating an obvious fact about one of your favorites.

Yeah, he's had a good run to be sure but if he turns into a pumpkin - wouldn't be surprised.

I would be surprised.

And i think wardrobe would be pretty put out to make pumpkin shaped uniform. Not to mention a certain lack of arms making pitching rather difficult.

But thinking of pumpkins, if he turned into the headless horseman, that would make for some epic encounters at the plate. What major league player could hang in there with a flaming head baring down on them? Plus, that also would imply he's pitching in late October.  That ain't bad either...
